I Used to. Ended for me with end game. They got more than 80 years worth of stories, and fast tracked to characters people didn't like in the comics. And forcing in "THE MESSAGE" turned me off to viewing any of the recent stuff. "You need to do better! They're not terrorists!" WTF?
Only Marvel things I've watched the last few years was X-men 97 and currently Daredevil Born Again. (Still have to watch the last 2 episodes, to judge season)
I'm definitely the target audience, and I've been feeling the fatigue since before Endgame even. I think Civil War was the last one I could say was actually a good movie. They've really just been on an overall decline in quality output. Its not at all dramatic or anything like you see/hear a lot of silly reactionary YouTube videos go off about, it happens to everything eventually. Part of it is I think almost every project slowly morphing into an amorphous blob of identical themes and vibe; the MCU movies used to have actually identifiably different vibes and writing to them. They also just don't tell good stories anymore, independent of being super hero shit.
I think the shift to trying TV format with the Disney+ shows was a good idea, but they've been a little hit and miss. Born Again was overall not terrible (just finished the last episode tonight), but was also very hit and miss (though it has some incredible highs) and you can absolutely tell there was extensive reshoots and 'retooling' and pacing issues since it was originally an 18 episode plan that got reworked into two halves, framed by new footage slotted into place to try and make it work.
Ah, a fellow person of taste I see. I'd switch Born Again and S2 personally, otherwise I entirely agree. S3 is one of my favourite Daredevil things period, and easily top 3 of things Marvel has put out. S2 had some great things in it, mainly Frank (it's I think the only Punisher Netflix appearance that actually gets him 100% consistently right) and Fisk slowly taking over the prison, but yeah everything else like Elektra and the Hand weren't the most consistent. It's not that I think Born Again is terrible or anything, but I think overall the highs of S2 were more consistent than in Born Again and is overall better.
