pretty good. chipping through some indies from the year that i have sitting in my library. just finished s.p.l.i.t. by mike klubnika which was insanely dope and now a top 5 pick of the year.

Today i saw a giant dragonfly
apparently its native and called the "kapokapowai"
i tried to take a picture but it flew away
it was as big as a bird!

Had breakfast with relatives and then I'm not even sure what happened to the rest of the day, but it's 9 pm now. So since nothing really bad happened, I'll say it was a decent one.

Today is seven months since my dad died. I'm doing better, but the first Christmas without the old man around will be rough. This year is also 20 years since my mom died in late December, so it's kind of a lot. Apologies if I've been coarse to anyone here, I'm just taking it day by day.

Slept in late. When I work I'm lucky if I can get 6 hours of sleep. Ate Chili burgers and fries, watched Demons 2 and Dead Alive today. Didn't get to game today.

Some religious people came to the door and I nicely told them that I'm not religious and so I didn't really want to talk to them. A few hours later, a relative I haven't seen in over a decade, who is way religious, decided she wants to come over to drop off something for christmas. I've now decided that in the time we haven't seen each other, she's become a religious hitman hired by these missionary people. So if my posts stop after about 12:30 tomorrow, it means I got smoked

Bittersweet. I wouldn't wish dementia on anyone. We were able to coax the "real him" out for a time and that made the visit worth it.

Relative that wants to visit, is late. Last night I only got like two hours of sleep, so I was hoping to go to bed immediately after they leave. Which, I still will, but now I'm getting cranky because I need my rest already

I'm probably being paranoid, but there have been way more door to door solicitors than usual. We normally get like one a week, and there's been five in the past three days. Then earlier tonight, there was a big thud on my front door. Could've been a ding dong ditcher, but they usually use the doorbell. So I've decided the solictors are casing the neighborhood and they're going to rob people here. I hope I'm just being silly and wind up being wrong.

Long. To me, christmas is a thing you either do christmas morning, or the night of christmas eve. My relatives didn't get together until 2 pm today. Then they were hurrying people out, so they could get ready for some football game or something. Didn't make sense to me. Now I'm hoping to bang out like 15 hours of sleep, my poor old body needs it.

Good but had to order me and my dad a new double hob close to midnight used a pile of saved vouchers and got discount so all good. We burnt the existing hob out cooking over christmas. Still have the right ring for soup so be fine till new one gets delivered tuesday.. Ive not had a lot of luck using our oven hob as its all digital i like a simple life lol. Other than that the PS store sales have been good to me this christmas and its now 27th december as just past midnight. Don't have any morning plans saturday so its good to get sleep caught up with any luck.

I remembered about an hour ago that I had forgotten to pay bills before Christmas. So I sat down and did it, and gave myself the present I promised myself I would, provided everything processes okay: I paid off my credit cards. First time they'll have been at a zero balance since 2016.

I was fine, but I had a crying fit. I'm enjoying leaving my room more. I'm doing okay, more or less.
