Let's see how much of a trainwreck this is. Who's playing? It's free so you have nothing to lose except your precious time and what little faith you may have in EA. Hopefully the microtransactions aren't too intrusive. That said, I do hear that you start with nothing but basic, no name clothing and decks, forcing you to buy each individual piece of clothing and skateboard. 🤮 🤮 🤮

>"We should make the trailer so cool people would wanna buy it!!!"
>"Make sure the first thing potential customers see in the video is someone spitting on the camera to make them puke!!"
>"good idea, for sure they will buy the game now"

lolol

I was invited to the playtesting ages ago, but it was one of those where you were supposed to play while in a call, like a focus test group, so I chickened out.
I've not heard good things since people were allowed to talk about it though, but I'll cautiously see how it turns out. Loved both Skate 2 and 3 (never played 1).

So its just called skate. ? I didn't even know this game was even made. Goes to show EA has little to no expectations on this series. Welp at least we got Skate 1-3

babe wake up, new soft-rebooted formerly murdered franchise with a decade long support schedule and development time just dropped

I'm downloading it now. I hope it's not complete garbage.

Ah yes, may I have it with MTX and a small platter of your drip feed content on the side?

Skaters, we've heard your feedback.
Expect ten years of continued support (a new thrasher shirt every three months and a month long grind for a golden deck idk), and as a thank you for your continued support, please take this complimentary thrasher shirt we conveniently set aside just for such an occasion.

Do we still have funny glitches though?

Yeah that sounds really stressful haha

Uffff....

I was thinking on giving it a try, but I think I will just skip it. I hate what the corpos has done to my hobby.
Wait, what made you change your mind? Because it's free?? ::warcraft-skeleton

Haven't tried it, but... I'm (trying to?) holding out hope it doesn't suck ass...

Do not talk about any of the bugs or server connection issues or I swear to God we're going to have a problem

I enjoyed what I tried earlier. Gameplay is good, though I do think it feels easier and more arcadey than I remember Skate 1 feeling back in the day. The parkour is better than I was expecting. I think the city looks pretty good, too. The characters, however, look like shit. They look straight out of Fortnite. Overall, better than I was expecting. I'd still prefer another game more like Skate 1, but this'll be good enough to get my Skate fix, I suppose. I tried to play some more tonight but servers were down. One of many reasons I loathe online only games.

Yes, and it is not free. Just look at other prime examples like Halo Infinite, identity always dies in the F2P model.

Im tired of F2P that are actually more expensive and are always pushing store items (every single one of them more ridiculous than the rest so people will buy them) in your face.

Just share me money for it, let me unlock stuff and call it day. It is possible and it is profitable, just look at No Man Sky, they practically have made NMS 2 and NMS3, but put it as free content for the base game.
