I was watching a video about a youtuber who was cancelled a while ago and I thought I should ask this

Yes. Don't let anyone tell you what to enjoy or how to -- oftentimes the "cancelled" person didn't do anything wrong at all, too.

That said... if what they were "cancelled" for personally affects you, then yeah, you should drop them.

What if all the evidence is against them and/or they admit everything is true?

Same thing: if it personally clashes with you, then drop them.

I have seen people cancelled for voicing opinions I personally agree with.

No and you shall drink bleach to make sure none of their content stays on your brain, so the cancel gestapo can't cancel you too for your passive approval.

More seriously, like others said, answer would probably be "depends if it bothers you or not".

Honestly, I watch what I wanted to watch, cancelled or not. Never really care about it, but of course! As long as you enjoy and not forcing yourself, then go for it

I won't throw books (or other media) I already have away, but I'll probably think twice before I get new stuff

The only content creators that deserve being cancelled are ones that got actually exposed with solid proofs (and not baseless accusations) for shit like child molesting. And boy, it's so common for content creators popular to kids to come out as child molesters. Especially for games popular to kids like Fortnite, Roblox, Pokemon, Smash Bros, Sonic, Minecraft...

Depends on why they were cancelled and what your personal morals are. Others can give you advice but ultimately, it's your convictions that should be the most important to you. Is their content worth abandoning your convictions? Why or why not?

There isn't really a "one size fits all" answer for morality, like everyone else has said. You've mentioned your a teenager, you'll come to decide what you can and can't tolerate soon enough.

Ugh. Don't get me started on 'cancel culture'...somebody please cancel it!

Are you really going to let other people do your thinking for you? As my parents often said when I was a child, "If everyone else jumped off a cliff, would you?"

If you like the content, then watch it. If you don't, then don't. Do your own thinking. Make your own choices.

As much as I agree to that, there's a good reason why @Xdqwerty questions that. I think most people here gave a great reasons why, it all depends

I take the approach of Separating the "art" from the person itself. You may not agree on their views, but still find their art to be high quality.

Still, OP should not just automatically boycott anything based on popular opinion, without finding out for himself. We were given a brain for a reason, and it's not just to keep our skulls from imploding...
Usually...

if there is definitive proof of the person in question being a terrible person, then yes. if not, then use your own judgement.

Of course, that is true I guess. I don't think it's about boycott issues though, OP is just reasonably worried

Worried about what, exactly? Getting canceled? o_0

OP should, always, do what he/she thinks is right. If OP personally believes the things being said about Channel X, and thinks 'cancelling' is the right thing to do, then by all means, do it! If OP is only doing so because he/she is worried about what the vacant skulls think of him/her, then OP is not actually thinking, and cannot know what is right.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that but maybe?
