I watched Dracula (1931, Tod Browning) yesterday, amazing movie full of moody scenes and chilling moments (Bela Lugosi is great). I began to watch The Haunting of the Hill House, hope to finish it this night.

Saw Kiki´s Delivery Services last week, it was beautiful.

I absolutely love the ambience of that movie, if not more than the rest aside from Nausicaa and Castle in the Skies.

It's also funny how it shows how Hayao is a massive fan of Italy because even if it's a nondescript city it looks awfully a lot like your typical mediterranean coastal city (which would soon get confirmed by Porco Rosso).

Also I love the main theme song simply because even back when the movie released it was retro

PS: I have the book, I should read it someday.

I literally just finished this right now, on my way to watch every Bond movie made in order.

The 7th Seal from 1957 is a really great movie. I really wish I understood Swedish so I didn't have to watch the subtitled or dubbed version. Though I did watch the dubbed one with subtitles on, and it seems like they changed very little, just to make it make sense for English

A Swedish knight returns home from the Crusades to find his country in the grips of the Black Death, he challenges Death to a chess match for his life. More to it. but that's Basically the gist of it

I know, right?, during the entire film I was always feeling that it had an european ambience, although I thought it was Germany inspired lol.
