Series that produced a lot of games, but majority, or all of them sucked?

I know that this will be heresy for some, but... Monkey Island.

The first two were great, the third one was divisive. Everything else...
I can't agree more with you. I love both Monkey Island, played them on my Commodore Amiga 500 and enjoyed from start to the end. Gosh, that ending in 2 got me imagining for a week how it would continue, and then I saw Monkey Island 3. What the heck was that? I couldn't believe what they did and I went through all the five stages of grief, but got stuck on the first two for a long time: denial and anger.

To date, I still hope Lucasfilms releases a new 1:1 classic Monkey Island. Dreaming is free :)

-Biker mice from mars
The SNES game was a great Rock'n'Roll Racing clone with cool new ideas and even a better Soundtrack than Rock'n'Roll Racing . But after that came a horrible PS2 game .

-Power Rangers
The Snes and Genesis brought the best classics but after that came only utter garbage shovelware that nobody wants to waste their time to it . WHY IS IT HARD TO MAKE BADASS SPANDEX NINJA WARRIORS GAMES WITH GIANT ROBOTS AND KAIJU MONSTERS ?

-Duke Nukem
Hard to admit it but Duke Nukem 3D was the peak of the Duke Nukem franchise. While Zero hour and Manhattan Project are awesome on their own and Time to Kill a flawed but great game if you get comfy with the gameplay , the rest of it took a nose-dive into bad schlock territory .

Most of the newer Power Rangers games look more like cheap flash games to me. Flash games have their place, but I wouldn't want to buy any of them at full retail price.
I guess it makes sense though, considering how cheaply made Power Rangers kinda was as a show. You'd just think they could invest more of that money into the games.

I wish ZH and MP got PC ports.

Shame that Gearbox has screwed 4ever so hard.

4ever was my first Duke Nukem game. Although, that's not an excuse, nor does it constitute a defence of myself, the game or my actions of having played it ::sailor-embarrassed

Dude I fucking LOVE Starfox but we barely got any of them, and anything post Adventures(I will fight you) was a miss.

I personally enjoyed Assault but I know a lot of people didn't, and the Wii one was apparently not that good.

And we're probably not getting any more of them.

Justice for Starfox. Please I am praying to the game gods make another one and make it GOOD.

You would StarFox Assault someone?
Seriously though, I think I've only played Assault & the 3DS one.
It's a shame either way that there are so many of those Nintendo franchises people really love that are sort of stuck in the shadow realm.

Adventures is also kind of hated because it's not a traditional 'Starfox' game.

There's a shitload of lore behind that one. It was originally its own IP in development for the N64, then Nintendo wanted Fox shoehorned in and eventually it got totally changed, ported, and completed for the GC.

I really enjoyed it but you can tell it's not a 'Starfox' game. It's also extra weird because we have Krystal as canon in the Starfox universe when she was originally one of the main playable characters in Dinosaur Planet(the OG), and totally unrelated to the Starfox name.

Thank you for being here for my stupidly specific info dump.

Anytime, friendo!

That meta-history behind "Adventures" does feel like all the evidence you need to think that Nintendo doesn't care about, or know what to do with, StarFox.

Even a remaster of the original SNES game would be cool.

Yes I know, Lylat Wars is basically a remake/reboot that improved upon the original yet I miss the ost and more arcade feeling of the original.

Maybe it's the same issue with F-zero where they wanna put a gimmick or innovation to make a new entry.

First 4 games are just awesome (X3 has some issues but the Zero project made it stand alongside X1 for me, hell i would say the Zero project makes it better than X2 and that's a HIGH bar for any X fan), X4 is just perfect, and then we dive from X5 to X8 and the series becomes utter garbage, painful experiences, and no matter how many say that the X vs Zero fight in X5 is great, it isn't worth the pain of X5.
I love the first five X games. Also the X8 demake is super dope. I play through the first two games multiple times a year. I do love the Zero Project version of 3 but I'm still gonna say X2 is my fave haha

IMO
Sonic
Pokémon
I'd like to say Megaman because the ZX series has a lot of non expressed potential, but I'm very fond of it
Ugh the first ZX was freaking awesome and they were really onto something. I bounced off the second one hard though. I wish they'd try that format more.

And the worst is the new trend of merging the most popular games into one to produce a generic game. They just merge mindless action from Call of Duty, nonsense cutscenes from new Sony games, add some JRPG elements from Final Fantasy, make graphics look like either too realistic like GTA 5 or cartoonish like Valorant because these are the generic games people like, fill the game with time-waster Ubisoft content, and then they add other generic stuff got popular -> "Ultimate video game that would sell at least 2 million for sure" lol.
Oh my god, the amount of times I've yelled "WHY THE FUCK IS CAPTAIN PRICE IN A BLACK OPS GAME?!" into the mic while playing Cold War is immeasurable.

They were gonna make a third but it got scrapped. Only reason I can assume is from poor sales.

I honestly will never count MGS 2 and 5 as ever existing. I would rather call the NES game a real Metal Gear instead lolol.
I thought MGS 5 was fine for a somewhat unfinished game, but I enjoyed that same gameplay loop way more in Peace Walker.

Well MGS 5 is not a Metal Gear game because "phantom pain spoilers" but can't deny it's a good sandbox military action game and some "hardcore" stealth game that force you to kidnap tanks in stealth if you want lol.

Why MGS 5 is not a Metal Gear game and why it's like broken reflection of Peace Walker?: It's because of the theme "phantom pain". As they lost their limbs they didn't add fundamental Metal Gear aspects to the game, even a story, so fans would feel phantom pain over the fun they had in Peace Walker. Not to mention your character "living in the past" that makes players feel like it's like "Peace Walker" but not really. In the end it's the greatest trolling Kojima did to get himself fired from Konami to free himself from milking Metal Gear games lolol.

In that context why MGS 2 and MGS 5 was not a Metal Gear game, it was just to troll Metal Gear fans that was the reason of making Konami spam Metal Gear games. In MGS 2 Kojima showed the way Metal Gear fans became via Raiden which Kojima made fun of the "fake fans" who enjoy Metal Gear series as an action game in Metal Gear Rising. In Metal Gear Solid 5 he made fun of the fan type had no idea what they wanted but had their own subjective justifications to want action and also stealth games, that naturally made Konami wanted to produce a game fans liked. People made fan of lots of stuff in the series and it was the way MGS 5 lacked so many things to not make it a Metal Gear game. In the end it was a BS movie without even a story but only made with "phantom pain" of a game it could have been!!! Thus he made fun of the players who assumed the role of "Big Boss" but not in the way he really is but in the way they wanted to be. They may look like "Big Boss" their inside is different that doesn't fit into Metal Gear identity therefore "take that BS game you all wanted, it's my phantom pain over the actual Metal Gear game I wanted to develop!!!" -- Hideo Kojima lol. For what fans wanted Kojima's decades were wasted on Metal Gear games so to set himself free he punished the fans therefore you play as Punished "Venom" Snake lolol. Look at yourself in the mirror, you venom snake!!!!:
