Series that produced a lot of games, but majority, or all of them sucked?

OH NO NO NO now that I think about it, fuck Assassin's Creed. The REAL undisputed champion of this is Life is Strange. The first one was already bordering on the worst game I've ever played, but then they made like four more, and three of them are EXPONENTIALLY worse. I am not exaggerating when I say it is the worst media franchise of all time, literally everything else had to at least have some redeeming point in order to actually be successful, but Life is Strange is like that bullshit in whatever manga that went "Oh he would've killed you sword, but there was a very, very, very, very, very small percent chance that it would pass right through you."

Life is Strange started at the absolute bottom, but it quite literally used the gravitational force of a fucking PROTON STAR to sink even lower, and once again, it's all thanks to the French.

Call of Duty It became an annual franchise from quality games to disposable games and all thanks to conformists who buy the game just for the title but not for its quality and the same goes for EA Sports FC (FIFA Formerly) which is an annual disposable franchise type more of the same and all because of conformism too.
And then we come to the topic of how certain series are bought and played mindlessly because people are even too lazy to look for decent games to play.

For example when you buy a Nintendo console, Nintendo's own IPs overall satisfy basic game "need" people have.

If you want platforming puzzle go play Mario.

If you want action go play Zelda.

If you want something cute go play Kirby.

If you want racing game go play Mario Kart.

If you want rather intense action game go play Smash Bros.

If you want some cozy relaxing game go play Animal Crossing.

If you think "taking care of a dog just for illegal dog fighting too much" go play Pokemon!!! lolol

I mean that's how a console company should be so they can release games lots of different people can enjoy, otherwise without a satisfying console people would only care about a console for decent exlusives and when you don't even have that then you basically gotta try your luck as "best way to play games" for people so they would buy it instead of a PC or other consoles.

In that context for example Call of Duty and Final Fantasy series became "lazy" way to play a genre of game instead of checking other games in the genre. That's why people play Call of Duty just for FPS and they play Final Fantasy just for some RPG taste. This causes a sense of popularity and "high quality" as if they are the best games in a genre which naturally distort the sense of how other games in the genres are but if people could be open minded they could realize they can find better games than these games.

Incredible Hulk has some decent games. Fantastic Four got screwed though.
Ultimate Destruction ::fire
At least the F4 are in some decent Marvel games... ::cirnoshrug

Fairly Oddparents, most/none flatout are great, with "is fine" being the best they are

Also Superman, the only good game i can recall is the Taito Arcade

That's good to know, I haven't played 2003-2008 games. In my opinion the SNES, and SAT/PS1 games were lackluster. I was going to mention South Park but with the exception of 2014, and 2017 release.

Toxic Crusaders (new game looks actually good tho) and Yoshi

Toxic Crusaders on the Genesis especially is a seriously good contender for worst beat em up of all time IMO I'm SHOCKED people don't talk about that game more when bad 16-bit video games come into conversation

My contribution is the Mario Sports franchise from the 2010s onwards. I feel like they peaked in the 5th-7th gen era of Nintendo consoles and after that point, the Mario Sports games, specifically Tennis, Golf, Football and the Mario and Sonic games started to dip in quality from that point. London 2012, Golf World Tour and Tokyo 2020 were exceptions, but generally the games were either average or in Mario Golf: Super Rush's case, downright bad.

This is especially egregious in the Switch era as most of those games had the same issues with lack of content, mediocre gameplay, the "buy now, fix later" model etc. After Battle League, I accepted that Mario Sports as I knew it was dead to me. Thank god they at least ended the M&S series on a decent note in Tokyo 2020, despite the fact that I think the series peaked in 2011/2012.

Sonic is an honorable mention due to the inconsistency of their game's quality. The Generations remaster was solid, if overpriced but the last good game before that was Mania in my opinion.

Forces? Yuck. Team Sonic Racing? Mediocre as fuck. Frontiers? Good ideas, hohum execution. Superstars? More like Sonic 4 Episode 3 and I don't mean that in a good way. And don't even get me started on the remasters of Colours Ultimate and Origins.

Yoshi? I mean outside of Story the games were decent such as that DS title and maybe Whoolie world.

And don't even get me started on the remasters of Colours Ultimate and Origins.
Colours Ultimate didn't have many issues after the release. What's the issue with Origins? They're like the enhanced remasters for the classics.

Sonic Colours Ultimate did freeze for me, but it was on the end credits screen so... does that cancel it out?

I heard the issue were from people using an emulator but I'm not sure.

On the other hand I didn't really like the lighting and the loading times but it ran well.

Shame since it's one of the actual good Modern 3D Sonic game with Generations.

I have the physical PS4 version of Colours, but maybe the freezing was due to me playing it on PS5?

I do like Generations, especially the x Shadow version because I'd never played the original.

I quite like Frontiers, but I just found it really refreshing to have a Sonic game I could take at my own pace for once.

Sonic
GTA
FIFA
Final Fantasy
Pokemon
Yeah, GTA has been a bit hard for me to go back to over the years. Mainly because that's not really my style of humour anymore.

I remember when it was a huge success among the edgy kids in my school during 00s, I grew up playing the games because my brother enjoyed them and JRPGs were not of his cup of tea, so I barely had a chance to play what I really liked (and because I thought they were difficult for my age)

You hit the nail on the head. It's laziness. Which boggles my mind because we are in an age where it's never been easier to find new things to play. But your average consumer says "screw it" and grabs the latest Call of Duty or FIFA instead. Humanity in a nutshell. XD

And the worst is the new trend of merging the most popular games into one to produce a generic game. They just merge mindless action from Call of Duty, nonsense cutscenes from new Sony games, add some JRPG elements from Final Fantasy, make graphics look like either too realistic like GTA 5 or cartoonish like Valorant because these are the generic games people like, fill the game with time-waster Ubisoft content, and then they add other generic stuff got popular -> "Ultimate video game that would sell at least 2 million for sure" lol.
