Genesis Sega Mega Drive - three players

Hi there,

I am interested in multiplayer (for minimum 3 players) games for 16-bit consoles, now looking for Sega MD/Genesis titles.

I know there are at least two: Gauntlet IV and The Lost Vikings. Maybe is there more?

But the most cool stuff are 3P hacks.
Would be great if someone knows more hacks like Sonic Classic Heroes: https://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_Classic_Heroes, but for more other games.

Oh, I see. As for games, I would think you could play the beat 'em up ones, like the Streets of Rage saga.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had to interrogate AI bot and it finally confessed me (after I told it I may ask to calculate largest prime number), that Streets of Rage releases on consoles support max 2 players, not three, unfortunately.

As for beat'em-ups, I know there are some hacks for Battletoads and Battletoads Double Dragon NES games to get up to 4 players, and again, unfortunately, the patches I have found just hang in the emulator.
Maybe there is some 100% working release?

Mega Bomberman! I played this religiously with my sis lol. Allows up to 4 players.

The only other one I can think of is Yuu Yuu Hakusho: Makyoutou Issen, also allows up to 4 players (which is a total clusterfuck in practice lol, but fun)

Consider checking out this here for more. Your options are pretty limited sadly.

Sorry if I said that Hyokkori Hyoutanjima: Daitouryou o Mezase! (1992) was the first Mega Drive/Genesis game that could be played with 4 players but in reality it is the 2nd game, because the first game of the console that can be played with 4 players is Olympic Gold (1992). I apologize for that mistake, I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention.

I have totally forgot about all these sports and racing games.
Though I have some for (S)NES and I guess Genesis ports are pretty much the same more or less. I’d prefer something Sega exclusive, but anyway, this list of yours is incredible.

In between, there are few titles I never heard before, will check them out. Appreciate it!

Are translations available for Japanese games? Or maybe some of it does not require knowledge of kanji?
