Sega is teasing the new Crazy Taxi

Nah, the modern smart tech obsession is pathetic
Depends on who's doing it, and how it's done. Everybody has their own personal preferences, but I don't do projection. Apps or not, I'm here just to have fun and enjoy. It would not bother me either way, and I have much bigger concerns than something depicted, people use in every modern day. Sounds like a you issue either way.

Make people obsessed with the tech, cause ADHD and autism numbers to rise like never before, create a society where you need to access this and that with a smartphone then introduce mandatory digital ID to use the things they got people addicted to, a slave state, your rights given over. But oh well eh.

Oh, and that is not "worse case" that is happening right now and it will until the government tracks your every move, then it's bye bye places like this, bye bye privacy, bye bye vpns, be good and obey the government.

I never said everything is perfect and hunky dory. I have my problems with certain modern technologies, but they are not inherently evil. It's the people up top or those that placate those at the top, who are the problem. The technology does come in handy when used right, or for the right type of conveniences and circumstances. I have my own issues, of course, but I don't act self righteous, nor act as if i'm better than everyone else, because of it. It's important to note the good and bad
But don't ever let the bag consume you nor blind you to the positives or the ways they can help people. Even when the solution, isn't always obvious. Though we're getting off topic now.

I am in and you're clearly out. What you do is your choice, and yours alone like anybody else. I like to give most developers a chance (mainly indie and AA) , "modern trends" or not. I am not a snob, and I am not afraid to have fun.

No point of getting angrily judging when we haven't seen a single thing, aside from that very first teaser trailer, all the way back about four years ago. All you're going off on is s and nine speculations in your own negative bias towards modern technology.

Who do you think pushes this tech in the first place? Those evil fuckers that run the world from the top do.
Check out this video on TikTok while we slip this law in under your nose.

You're running around in circles, and all you're telling me is what I already know.

Still doesn't change the good people use with it or how it can help. Those at the top just know nothing of greed. And nothing else. Though sometimes it isn't always the people at the top, and you have those who know it's wrong, but don't care unless it affects them or somebody they actually care about.

Tell me something new (rhetorical).

Play 1 or 2 at least once in my week stays with me. Have 3 on windows file.
I've never played the third game and I heard it is not all that good. I think I played the second game once but that was out of friends. I have it on my emulation device because it came with it but I still have yet to touch the game.

Only thing ive noticed wrong with CT3 is the taxi appears pure white which is a graphics glitch might try and install it to my new mini PC see if the glitch is still there.

Hold up a minute, the percentage doesn't rise for autism just because we now have an easier way to diagnose it. It's not because we couldn't identify something that it was necessarily less common before.

Now ADHD could be because of many factors but that's another subject.

As for Crazy Taxi it could just be a way to make the new game not a copy of the previous ones (or else just call it a remake).

Uber and other alternatives to Taxi exist for a good reason and it makes sense that a game tends to be contemporary about technologies (this is why even movies like Casino Royale from 2006 was set in 2006 with portable phones).

Your comment about autism made no sense.

Please tell me why it had made no sense to you, thanks.

Remember that people don't "catch" it as some may say
Lets say you are second generation, born of a person who spends all their time scrolling and is obsessive with looking at one screen or another until it is hardwired into your head. You saying that type of trait cannot be passed on? We currently live in the second generation of the smartphone and social media era and the people with autism and adhd has risen without a doubt and diagnosis methods haven't changed since the early 2000s before the first iPhone and before social media went from being weird to accepted.

You don't "acquire" autism tho. It's something that can happen with or without phones.

Correlation isn't always causation.

There are factors that cause it though, it is in no way the same as downs syndrome which happens to a baby while baking. There are environmental factors that cause this, has it always existed? Yes. Has it existed before in these numbers? No. So either so many people are full of shit and on the fiddle with autism or we have to look at what has changed in the past lets say 20 years that is different. Now other than the amount of drugs that children get today compared to back then the only other factor is smartphones combined with social media.

Similar to Max and the YoVideoGames crew, I'm excited if they offer different multiplayer modes or battle royal type modes with racing. Along with the fun single player modes too. I wonder if they're gonna have a boost mechanic, similar to Burnout. The possibilities are endless.

No Offspring no buy.

But really, I hope they don't mess this up. They've been very miss with a lot of their old arcade franchises as of late-ish and it's pretty frustrating.

Keeping my expectations below ground level. I still remember their super game initiative (which was luckily cancelled).

Honestly they can't top the first two and how lame would a modern one be you responding to pick up requests sent via an app by passengers.
You do bring up an interesting point in how or if they will make the setting more modern depending the locale chosen.

And as others have said, it can definitely be modernized successfully as long as its done in a sensible way that doesn't drastically change the gameplay. But maybe they won't change it at all. I read that Japan is still very much a taxi hailing service country and ride-sharing in particular is not a thing.

And while I do agree with some of the serious points about the impact of mass accessibility to the internet and the current state of web 2.0 that you more or less identified, your comments read less like informed criticism and more like resentment that the world is moving on without you. If you think about it, the utility in being able to raise a taxi as well as customize what type of ride you want/need and even filter selections based on personal preferences is far better than the random luck game you had to deal with in the past when getting a taxi.

PLEASE, PLEASE SEGA!

Dont fucked up with micro transactions, or even worse, making it a F2P game.

Besides my fears, this is a great news!
