Seeing a lot of Banned users, is that normal?

There's just something about this juvenile hobby that brings out the worst in people or... people don't follow the rules.

I honestly didn't notice it, but more than likely the reasons were just. The reason there's never serious conflict here is likely because those that explicitly come here with ill intent are quickly found and invited to leave. The price of peace is eternal vigilance, after all.

These forums have some of the easiest rules to follow (basically boiling down to "don't be an arse"), yet some people can't even follow them. Others somehow think that it is ok to spew hate speech or incredibly outdated philosophies on this platform, an action for which we have zero tolerance.

That's generally how it goes for those types. They think the internet is an ok space for them to spew their nonsense uncheck, forgetting the basic rule that there is a person behind the user name, a person that deserves respect.

We have 123,000 total users and only 18 banned users.
0.014%
And from those 18, it's 3 people re-registered like 4 times after being banned and got banned again so it's more like 10 users.

So unless you are doing something incredibly stupid don't worry about it.

Still... Everyone I came across still have their names and rank... Meaning I haven't crossed paths with banned users, I think.

pokemon wiki:
Players are very unlikely to come across a Shiny Pokémon. Prior to Generation VI, the probability of encountering a Shiny Pokémon before the sixth generation was 1 in 8192 (0.0122%), but since Generation VI, this has been doubled to 1 in 4096 (0.0244%).

the odds of you seeing someone who's been banned are are about the same as finding a shiny pokemon.

My account seems to have been deleted. When I swung by here just now I found that I was logged-off, and the site didn't recognize my log-in credentials. I was able to re-log in with the same username, and my previous posts list me as "Guest". Err...what?

Edit: By "re-log in" I mean that I was able to create an entirely new account using the same User Name as I had before.
