Game Description:

Safety + Safety: Life Is A Maze is an Action RPG/Dungeon Crawler/Puzzle video game published by Moga and developed by Moga released on 2011 for Microsoft Windows.

These are two well made RPG Maker 2003 games done in the style of action RPG dungeon crawling with puzzles and traps. Instead of being completely real time the combat is done like roguelike games and enemies and the character take turns between actions. However, since the floors aren't randomly generated this can't be considered a roguelike.

Originally the games weren't interconnected but in a later update to the games Moga added more graphics and story elements to connect the two.

Quote from Moga about Safety from the readme file:

"The beginning of the game is mostly story; once you begin actual gameplay there will be very little story to guide you. Here are some things to keep in mind: To open doors and move forward you must fulfill certain conditions. Some involve keys, some involve items - Some involve out of the box thinking to complete - try everything! There are many treasures to collect, which will help in completing the game- most are revealed when you open doors on a floor. Not every treasure is revealed in the same way though. There are several tiers of monsters - if a tier above yours attacks you, you will be damaged. You have limited health, once it is depleted - you will die."

Quote from Moga about Safety: Life Is A Maze from 2013:

"If love can create the most beautiful things, then the same could be said for its opposite. Perhaps even, it could make something more so." -The Great Midland Historian Claiden A action/adventure game revolving around Mina, and her friends, as she tries to escape her mysterious captivity. It features a semi-turn based action system where basically you get to knock into things to break or defeat them. Features: A Story! (Something near it at least) Magic! Potions! Monsters! Traps! Douche-Boyfriends! Weird Extradimensional Beings! Glitches! I hope you enjoy it!"

These games are technically considered "fan games" of Yume Nikki since they use that game as a base for the graphics and assets, but nothing in these games are related to Yume Nikki and there's no thematic or plot connections to it.

Included with these is the latest version of EasyRPG for stability and QOL improvements. (Like an fps counter, v-sync, scaling options, button mapping, fast forward, volume management, etc) You can launch the game from the original RPG_RT.exe executables as well, but I'd recommend using EasyRPG since it looks and plays better.

Well I mean, I did tell you about this game yesterday. Also that I would add it to the repo. Check it out, since you like dungeon-y stuff you might like it
