DISCLAIMER: I'm not the author of these patches!

Hi everyone! I found out recently that a user named MajDima (GameFAQs, YouTube) has just yesterday released a full English patch for Ryu ga Gotoku: Ishin! on the PS3! What's more, he has also previously released PS3 English patches for Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami, making this the first instance of being able to play Yakuza 0 with the Japan-only PS3 Walkman DLC!:

- Ryu ga Gotoku: Ishin! (PS3) English
- Yakuza 0 (PS3) English
- Yakuza Kiwami (PS3) English

As noted in the disclaimer, I'm not the author, but I want to share these patches here for both more visibility and on the off chance Spike or another uploader may feel compelled or interested enough to upload pre-patched versions. MajDima wrote on the Ishin release page that he's doing a translation for Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan as well!

As an aside, if anyone has experience patching PS3 games, definitely do comment with what steps you took, as I know patching PS3 games can be a tad nuanced when it comes to things like DLC, etc. MajDima has clear instructions, but it's always nice to have additional inputs for how to patch for those who may run into trouble!

Time to overwrite the Ishin menu-only translation ISO finally

Dude let's goooo!
Looking forward to Kenzan especially, but I can't wait to try out the old version of Ishin and the walkman

Nice! Do you know where the patches are hosted? I tried looking around but wasn't able to find them.

Ah, I missed the link when I was perusing it earlier. Thanks.

I have installed the Zero ps3 version and works great with hen. Don't know anything about Yakuza series heh

Genuinely stellar news

Why are there no Ps3 isos hosted here?
Because they are humongously gigantic and paying for hosting/traffic would not be trivial for this kind of data volume.

God, i miss nicoblog/nblog so damn much.

Anyway, it's so great to see that the PS3 is still getting support in one way or another, especially since I bought a used one a few months ago.

I have two warnings for those who want to play Yakuza 0 on PS3:

1. If you're using PS3 HEN (like me) and the files you've downloaded from MEGA didn't work for you, then check out this comment.

2. For some reason, it's impossible to convert the game into iso, whether by using PS3_ISO_TOOLS or multiman, even though it worked perfectly with Kiwami and Ishin, which seems to be a common problem according to some people, so copying the game's folder into hdd0/GAMES is the only option to play the game.
