While it came packaged as a two-pack alongside the Wii U version, the two are completely different games. Yuji Naka’s studio, Prope, actually finished this Wii version back in 2011. However, as the console's lifecycle came to an end, publisher Kadokawa Games struggled to find a profitable way to launch it. Years later, they developed a 3DS version in-house, ported it to the Wii U, and finally released both versions together. Here's a video explaining the differences between both versions:

I played it on 3ds because only option available for me, gave me "Gravity Rush" kinda vibes (GR is still at the top and over the top conveying the feeling of flying, but nonetheless I had fun with Rodea and I've completed it).
I guess these versions will be better for graphics and quality.
Bro Gravity Rush... Timeless masterpiece with an incredible story, mind blowing soundtrack, maybe not so good but still a very funny gameplay. Easily in my top 10 games of all time

Don't think this game is particularly good. Although fun especially if this is the version you start with. But if you've played the 3ds version first then this will either make you appreciate this version much more or sours you entirely. Main issue with the 3ds/wiiU version is it has just enough of the same feel that the *much* better execution of this version isn't exactly enough to cover the other flaws the game has especially when you know what to expect.

I only played this version, could never beat the final boss though but otherwise I quite enjoyed this game, I wanna try out either the Wii U or the 3DS version sometime.

What an awesome game, but this is a contender for worst publisher release ever. Holding on the already completed game until a portable port gets done and shitting up the game beyond what was intended and very much ruining it, then port that crappy version back to console (POINTLESS btw) and gift the original GOOD game as a limited early release alongside the newer trash port, ugh.. ::angrygenjin

No wonder why Naka snapped and Balan happened, the man saw nothing but Ls after leaving Sega. (Crazy thing that the work most people recognize PROPE from are some minigames from the 3DS streetpass plaza, what a terrible luck)
Have you heard of Thrill Kill before?

Apparently according to this Game Sack video the reason why this Wii version is better is because this version was developed in 2011, and should have been released in 2012, but Prope had a publishing deal with Kadokawa Games, and because of that Kadokawa Games developed their Wii U version internally, released in 2015. Yuji Naka was never involved in the Wii U port and he didn't knew what was going on with his game. The Wii U version had this one as a bonus disc in the NIS America releases. Kadokawa Games did add exclusive features and voice acting in the Wii U port but had bugs and no sound when the game screen is switched to the Wii U GamePad.

I LOVE this game!! Im a proud owner of the original disk... but never actually finished it because of reasons. Want to play on emulator so bad... can anyone help me with controls setup? I remember this game use only the wiimote and pointer. Love Rodea... and Blinx too! two great charaters made by ex-sega! (i love Balan Wonderwold too... but im a little shy on saying it loud.) : D

Fun little game that shows Naka had some real merit despite his later demise with lesser games & illegal activities.

It's kind of NiGHTs into Dreams... meets Sonic in vibe. I'm not into Sonic, but NiGHTS is amazing so this works too.
