A new threat in Detroit

The story of Unfinished Business takes place after the events of the main game but before RoboCop 3. A group of elite mercenaries attacks the Metro-West police station and steals components from RoboCop's medical chair. The mercenaries barricade themselves in the OmniTower, an advanced residential tower built by Omni Consumer Products (OCP) for displaced citizens. RoboCop must climb the tower floor by floor to retrieve his stolen technology and uphold the law.

Gameplay and Features
The gameplay retains the slow, heavy and methodical combat of the original but places more emphasis on action sequences. Most of the game takes place in the cramped OmniTower, creating a claustrophobic and threatening atmosphere. RoboCop gains access to new weapons, such as the Cryo Cannon which can freeze enemies. The expansion introduces new and more brutal finishing moves that allow RoboCop to take down enemies by throwing them or interacting with the environment.

Playable Characters
For the first time, players can control another character in flashback sequences: Experience life as the vulnerable human police officer Alex Murphy before he became RoboCop. There is a playable sequence featuring the iconic, albeit somewhat clumsy ED-209 enforcement droid.

Original voice actor and Integrated Side Quests

Peter Weller the original actor of RoboCop lends his voice to the character again. Side quests are more integrated into the main story and providing more narrative context rather than feeling like filler.

My Conclusion

Unfinished Business was well received and especially by fans of the original game. Critics praised its faithfulness to the franchise and the strength of Peter Weller's voice acting. Some noted that the lack of significant new gameplay mechanics makes the game feel more like a direct expansion of the first installment. Nevertheless the game is considered a loving sequel that captures the spirit of the original.

It is on the short side compared to most reviews. Feels more like a first impressions post than a full review. Some sections are rushed e.g. you say puzzles “aren’t particularly exciting” but don’t elaborate why (too easy? repetitive?).

Structure: Transitions are choppy. Starts with “Good News / Bad News,” then abruptly shifts to gameplay, then side missions, then visuals.

Would benefit from consistent sectioning: Gameplay, Missions & Structure, Visuals & Style, Conclusion.

Do let me know if you are interesante on working on it further.

Okay, yeah I thought I'd give it a try. But I don't think I'd bother with it much longer. This is probably more for Game Recommendations. Thanks for your opinion.

Hi Spike, I have now made a remake of the article.

The game is not good and also a pure waste of money and much too short. The article is fine but the game is garbage, better save your money.
