RGT's Video Game Trivia

1 - One of the bosses in the Western version of Castlevania 3 is named after a demon who also happens to be the antagonist in a very infamous 1970s horror movie. What's the demon called?

2 - At some point in Phantasy Star, your party meets a certain deranged scientist who conducts gruesome experiments on living subjects. What's his name, and what does he ask from the party?

3 - Zeku is a shape-shifting ninja who was first introduced in Street Fighter V. His appearance, move set among other things, imply Zeku is intimately linked to which other classic Capcom IP?
1. So I know this is Frankenstein's Monster, although he's technically the better part of a hundred movies, with the best known being the classic Karloff from the 30's. Are you talking about Andy Warhol's Frankenstein?

2. I've only played about half an hour of the first game, I don't remember any mad scientists. Maybe since the first question was the monster, the second is Frankenstein?

3. He's Guy's teacher, but he has a Strider costume.

1. I remember Dracula's final form in that game looks like Pazuzu who is the antagonist of The Exorcist which came out in 1973.

2. Who could ever for get Dr. Mad? But i didn't like that he wanted to experiment on Myau so I kicked his ass.

3. The only thing I can think of Capcom made that was "ninja-like" is Strider.

Got all three. Dracula looks like Pazuzu, but there's another boss who is actually called Pazuzu, though.
And you're up.

Zeku is Guy's old master, but In SFV, it's implied he's the founder of the Striders

Ok, let's give this a shot.

1. Link's hair is usually blonde, occasionally light brown, and in the original LoZ he was a redhead. But what was the only game where Link's hair was none of these colors and what color was it?

2. We all know that Virtua Fighter was the first 3D fighting game but what was the first 3D WEAPONS BASED fighting game?

3. What's the highest possible score you can get in Pac-Man?

1. A Link to the Past on SNES. He had pink hair!

2. I don't do fighting games so this is just a shot in the dark with Soulcalibur since that's the only weapon one I know

3. I remember the numbers reaching 333,000 but not the proper score number.

1. Link's Awakening, he has black hair because the OG Gameboy is monochrome. ::winkfelix

2. Soul Edge?

3. No idea, I assume it's maximum amount of Integer under six digits, so 214748.

One of you got one right.

1. Trick question? Fierce Deity Link in Majora's Mask?
2. Soul Edge
3. 999,999 seems unlikely. Can the score go past a million?

1. Pink in A Link to the Past, the *best* Zelda!
2. Battle Arena Toshinden is the earliest that comes to mind.
3. This is definitely something I've seen but didn't commit to memory; I had a place near my high school that I would cut classes to go play pool and the Pac-Man cabinet they had, but I never got *that* good!

You got 2 right.

You got 2 right.
In order to give this thread a soft reboot, @ATenderLad can now take over with the questions! He was the closest one after all.

For specific questions that may not be common knowledge, you should really give us multiple choices or something. I know this is a Trivia thread but the idea was to keep it pop quiz-ey, with a certain flow & pace to it!

Eh, it is a little tricky for all of us international strangers to keep to a schedule. With apologies to Thanonyx, I'll get the ball rolling again. (Short and sweet this time!)

1. What's the size of the roster of Super Smash Bros. 64? (Starting number only, no unlockables).
2. In X-Com: UFO Defense, the only way to level the playing field is by capturing/scavenging the invaders superior technology. What's the name of the precious resource that powers all of their stuff and can't be found on Earth?
3. In the original Fallout, your quest for a functioning water chip inevitably takes you to The Necropolis, a decayed city teeming with ghouls who don't feel even a mite bit neighborly. Thing is, that place *had* a name before, and it's a real California city. Which one is it?

Reno rings a bell... Is it Reno?

So New Reno is a major location in the second Fallout, unfortunately. (It's also actually in Nevada, and it's a delightful place to go bowling!)

Well, it's been about a day, I think we can call this the winner; Nintara, your turn!

oh fuck yeah score!

1. what was the name of the canceled project that was in development at insomniac games right before the first ratchet and clank game?
2. the arcade puzzle game kollon got ported to just one system, which one?
3. what game does this quote come from?:
"I plan to live forever, of course, but barring that I'd settle for a couple thousand years. Even five hundred would be pretty nice."

There is no right answers from me, I'm just listing my thoughts lol.

1. Surprisingly I guess I actually never actually looked into Insomniac's history. They had something planned other than Spyro? Interesting...
2. No clue what Kollon is! I'm gonna guess Xbox 360 because of all the weird games it got (& PS1 just seems too safe of an answer!)
3. This one I really don't know. But the "of course," part seems like a very early Square translation thing to do, so Ima guess... Chrono Trigger randomly.
