I think I inadvertently went through and hearted a bunch of stuff on here in one tab, then forgot where I was in another tab and might have un-hearted a bunch of stuff, whoops.
That's been a concern of mine for these threads, I've been thinking maybe psx era should be the cutoff? I also have a potato as far as emulation goes >_< it does pretty well (no problems with burnout 3), but that is because I know what I'm doing (I think I even mentioned earlier you have to fiddle with pcsx2 a bit to get this one to work, at least for me), but a few games have caused even me issues like zoe would chug and I couldn't really do anything...
Emulation is such a bizarrely amazing beast and I think the PS2 is probably one of the craziest just because there is such a range of styles used on it.
I have a 2019 I think Celeron laptop or something, yes, an absolute piece of junk. For some reason, that thing can hit about 30-40 FPS in a game like Champions of Norrath, but when I swap over to say, RE3 on the Gamecube, about 10 FPS.
Meanwhile, my desktop (may she rest in peace) while still ancient could run RE3 Gamecube at full frames exempting some weird glitches I only occasionally ran into, but CON dips to about 10 FPS. Release wise way older than that Celeron, so about the best I've got is maybe PCSX2 runs better based on newer versions of Vulkan or whatever (I use LInux for the record) , which newer processors and iGPUs would obviously support.
Anyway yeah, I mean I know a few people on here who somehow have worse PCs than I do, (maybe you yourself) so maybe it's something to consider about restricting it a bit?
