A retrobat hard drive i have is giving me controller issues and remapping it seems to be a headache as well. Any way of resetting
the system back to defaults instead?

Thanks for any help

If it's a retroarch core issue you can reset things by restoring the retroarch.cfg file to a previous version. By example copying your current retroarch.cfg file to another folder, then duplicating retroarchbak.cfg and renaming that to retroarch.cfg.

You could also try by simply deleting retroarch.cfg and it will be recreated with the default. But always do a backup of your stuff first.

Open BatGui > SDL library > Reset Gamepad Config
or BatGUI> Retrobat INI > Reset Config

Open BatGui > SDL library > Reset Gamepad Config
or BatGUI> Retrobat INI > Reset Config
thanks buddy this sounds what i need to do. Ill try on friday and let you know if that worked.

Its a retrobat hard drive thankfully no retroarch to deal with lol

Retrobat is just a frontend of Retroarch and Emulation Station basically.

Sometimes it's just easier to rename your old installation folder, reinstall and copy your roms, saves and bios folders to new installation😅

Ive got 2 spare retrobat drives so its no biggie to me if this 1 is still gonna cause me problems but i reckon i can pre configure a joypad to an individual system. have a usb n64 controller so gonna try that tomorrow for the n64 selection.
