hey guys this is my first post here so i would like to ask what are your favorite Formula 1 racing games ?
 
F-1 World Grand Prix for the N64 i played it it everyday for months when it was new good graphics and great commentary from Murray Walker, not really a F1 game but Scalextric for the CPC 464 is also good for a 8 bit micro.
 
I like 16-bit titles, with a top-down view, like those for SNES or MD (I don't remember the titles now).

Sega used to make some very good F1 games. The Super Monaco GP games for the Mega Drive/Genesis are all time classics for a reason.

Nigel Mansell's World Championship for SNES, MD & PC was a shameless SMGP clone but it was a very good one; especially on the SNES.

Speaking of the SNES, I really like Exhaust Heat. I think it came out in the US as "F1 ROC: Race Of Champions". Exhaust Heat is such a better name though.

I mostly like it because it has a Wipeout mode
It's cool, considering that the later entries of Wipeout makes the races feel like a formula 1 event or something like that

Extremely primitive GB title but quite enjoyable IMO.
 
Grand Prix 3 was incredible to play back in y2k. First "simulator" I can think of, as well.

I’ve been trying to start watching the actual sport so this is a good thread for me.
 
F1 Career Challenge had a great concept. With EA about to lose the Formula 1 license, they wrapped things up with a game that let players relive the four seasons they had previously licensed.

It was a major improvement over past entries, featuring a surprisingly authentic physics engine for the time. The PC version stood out even more due to how easy it was to modify—key parameters like physics, cars, drivers, and tracks were stored in simple text files. The modding scene was huge, and even after all these years—probably fifteen since I last played—I still remember how active it was.

Even the console versions turned out solid. In short, EA went out with a bang.
