Cheat codes really enhance a game’s charm.Cheat codes and unlockables in game, not via DLC.
Did anyone actually hate unlockables? Well I suppose publishers probably did lolCheat codes and unlockables in game, not via DLC.
And, sometimes, they are the only thing keeping it playable.Cheat codes really enhance a game’s charm.
Who doesn't love being Super Sonic from the jump!?Cheat codes really enhance a game’s charm.
I still use the drive on water cheat code in gta. I think it keeps the game fresh after hundreds of hours of play. And, sometimes, they are the only thing keeping it playable.
Right! That was my favorite cheat code on the game.I still use the drive on water cheat code in gta. I think it keeps the game fresh after hundreds of hours of play.
Wholeheartedly agree on these.Lives

Personally I hate random encounters when they are unreasonably frequent that they actively disrupt exploration. Give me at least 40 steps or so between fights so I can get my bearings, rather than forcing me to fight every 10.Random encounters in RPGs. I've seen so many people treat them as this awful mechanic that's completely obsolete and that showing enemies inside dungeons/ in the world map should be the only way to go, and I just don't get it?

I love pressing buttons!!!!!!More consoles should have a prominent power button that's satisfying to use, like the NES/SNES.
Buttons, knobs, switches....down with touchscreen aesthetic, I need more shit to look like an anime cockpit.

I can picture ps6 being this bizarre console that you can only turn on with like an app on your phone or something.Wishful thinking for the PS6

Modern PlayStation fans are the most bizarre people ever. Sony will tell they’ll go no games, will have to pay more, will have a hardware upgrade that costs 900 dollars and they’ll still kneel and say “yes please”. Borderline psychotic.Hope people will boycott if it becomes that dystopian! They want you to own nothing.
Remember Canadian truck drivers (peaceful protestors) bank accounts got frozen.
You complain about lying politicians?
They will freeze your PS6.
If someone buys an online only game, it will expire like they bought nothing.
What a scam lol.
I like how bravely default handled it, you can change the encounter rate as much as you want, if you want a low level run?Random encounters in RPGs. I've seen so many people treat them as this awful mechanic that's completely obsolete and that showing enemies inside dungeons/ in the world map should be the only way to go, and I just don't get it? I think random encounters only become a problem when the battles themselves aren't very engaging (looking at you Persona 2) but otherwise they're just standard fare to me.
Wholeheartedly agree on these.
Fun fact, phantasy star and most dungeon crawler type rpg's usually don't have "random" encounters, they are based on the tile your on which means if you know where certain enemies spawn, you can force the a specific enemy to spawn.10?
10 is EZ mode. You gotta try some 8/16-bit RPG's where you were lucky to get 5.
(shoutout to phantasy star)
I agree. As for a function i think get's a bad rap but is overhated, i guess i'd say lack of story in a game, a game doesn't necessarily need a story to be fun, while i am a MASSIVE rpg fan, sometimes you just want to spend 5 minutes in a game instead of scrolling through text or listening to something.
It's classical human competitiveness, it's why soccer fans have rioted over winning or losing a game, if you think about it any form of competition is just a form of war, even mundane ones like fanboyism of a console.Modern PlayStation fans are the most bizarre people ever. Also that’s very true, Sony would definitely brick your account for no reason. You can only truly rely on physical.
I should use GoG more. Steam deck doesn’t support it natively but I believe there’s a workaround. It's classical human competitiveness, it's why soccer fans have rioted over winning or losing a game, if you think about it any form of competition is just a form of war, even mundane ones like fanboyism of a console.
That's why i almost exclusively buy my digital games on gog and raise the black flag for my owned games on steam, my hard drive backup isn't getting banned.
If i remember right you can use the heroic games launcher, which works on steam deck, for them, it also supports steam's compatibility tool for games not in your steam library or on steam at all (name slips my mind atm).I should use GoG more.
