Remember the Cartoon Monster Allergy

Monster Allergy was a Cartoon that was run in my Childhood and I liked the Cartoon but I spend many years without remembering the name sometime even doubting its existence until I
found it again in recent years.

and I can't hardly remember stuff from it only that the MC has a Allergy towards Monsters and catches them....I think

I remember them from comics and cartoon it was release on Disney Channel in my area (together with Pucca) I forgot the plot but I remember it had also monster tame element.

I even forgot most of it including the name until I found it somehow again many years later.

Descobri isso novamente nos últimos anos.

E eu mal me lembro de alguma coisa, só que o protagonista tem alergia a monstros e os captura... Acho que sim.

NuncaI've never seen this cartoon, but it reminds me of another monster cartoon I watched as a child here in Brazil.

It never really clicked with me as a kid despite being italian, I guess I liked the edgier stuff like Dragon Ball and Lupin, I wanted tits and blood!

But looking back, I didnt know how good I had it. The comics especially are gorgeous, and the show is more like an introduction to them in my eyes

The show may not look as good, but it's still A Milion times better than most post 2015 netflix and cartoon network and disney channel stuff. Same for the story and characters and especially the atmosphere.

To think I didnt give this a chance in the past but I watched all the anime knockoff tumblrcrap like kipo age of the wonderbeasts, amphibia and the owl house. The owl house especially..the Monster Allergy comics do the same genre waaay way better it's not even a contest..

I wonder if it wouldve gotten a fandom like NBC and Coraline, had it been more marketed in the US...
It perfectly fits in that spooky stuff for kids trend of the 00s which I sorely miss

I could say the same about Mickey X

Nunca me cativou muito quando criança, apesar de ser italiano. Acho que eu gostava mais de coisas mais ousadas como Dragon Ball e Lupin.

Mas, olhando para trás, não tinha noção da sorte que tinha. Os quadrinhos, em especial, são belíssimos, e a série é mais como uma introdução a eles, na minha opinião.

A série pode não ter a mesma qualidade visual, mas ainda é um milhão de vezes melhor do que a maioria das produções da Netflix, Cartoon Network e Disney Channel lançadas depois de 2015. O mesmo vale para a história, os personagens e, principalmente, a atmosfera.

Pensar que eu não dei uma chance a isso no passado, mas assisti a todas aquelas porcarias de anime do Tumblr, tipo Kipo: A Era dos Animais Fantásticos, Amphibia e A Casa da Coruja. A Casa da Coruja, principalmente... Os quadrinhos de Monster Allergy fazem o mesmo gênero muuuito melhor, nem se compara.

Fico pensando se teria conquistado uma base de fãs como a da NBC e de Coraline, se tivesse sido mais divulgada nos EUA...
Combina perfeitamente com aquela tendência de coisas assustadoras para crianças dos anos 2000, da qual sinto muita falta.

Eu poderia dizer o mesmo sobre Mickey X.

There's an English dub on YT and I watched a couple episodes but I never finished it. Cool show though, I think there's very slight anime influence but I should probably finish it when I have nothing else to do.

Thats the thing with 00s western shows, they were influenced by jap cartoons without straight up being a cheaper pussified knock off of a shonen, without feeling like creator just went "I wanna make my own anime!"

They had their own identity, samurai jack, powerpuff girls - and most of the stuff Genny Tartakovsky and Craig McCracken worked on - on are great examples.
Primal too and Wonder Over Yonder too, rare modern examples

We had it so good back then and did not know what we had until we lost it.
I feel bad for the kids nowadays most of the kid shows released nowadays is weird looking and just bad slop.
The good old times back then when we had standards and sure not everything was gold but compared to nowadays.

Naquela época, tínhamos tudo de bom e não sabíamos o que tínhamos até perdermos.
Sinto pena das crianças hoje em dia, a maioria dos desenhos animados infantis lançados atualmente tem uma aparência estranha e são simplesmente de má qualidade.
Os bons e velhos tempos de antigamente, quando tínhamos padrões e, claro, nem tudo era perfeito, mas comparado com os dias de hoje...

Sim, Tom e Jerry, naquela época também passavam as temporadas 1 e 2 de Bob Esponja e outras séries que eu não me lembro. Acho que também tínhamos uma série chamada Pequeno Mozart.

I liked Scooby doo to it was always fun to watch.
Mission Odysee is also a gem I watched such a good cartoon.
We also had few episodes of Gruselschule I think in english its Creepschool or someting

And there's a few great modern shows that are the exception like Primal (by tartakovsky) and most of Gumball

I would say Cartoon wise it was good up to the 2010-2014 and then it became worse if not earlier.
