Hi, do you still remember Heart of Africa (follow-up to Seven Cities of Gold)? I always thought it deserved a modern remake, but nobody developed one, so I decided to do that myself :). While keeping the stylized depiction of the original, I added a 3D view for settlements and did my best to implement Africa as it was in the 1890s accurately: real historic geography and elevation data, diverse wildlife interactions, regional and seasonal climate, authentic clothing, etc.

So far, it's still in an early stage of development, and there is no game loop implemented yet—it's basically an Africa simulator. I intend to make the communication with the natives much more elaborate than in the original, possibly somewhat like in Chants of Sennaar. Any kind of feedback is appreciated.
