The GBA western artwork don't look much better. It looks like the concepts for a flash cartoon from the 2000s. You can at least excuse the NES artwork of being a time from the 80s. It's not accurate to the Japanese version, but the sketching is really well done for what it represented on the US side. There's elise some appreciation to be had. This on the other hand is some weird compromise.That does not work.

I was 14 back in 2004, when this version of the game released. You must be younger or completely unaware around that time.
Dubois was a good artist, I can't deny it, but I don't see much difference in quality between those covers. I mean, when japanese covers are "horrible" it means are more or less on par of western covers.
i honestly like the American Mega Man box art. reminds me a lot of classic sci-fi like MetropolisI've seen worse.
To each is their own, but I definitely prefer the European version over the American version. And I am American. If anything really, it's the European cover that has the more Metropolis like aspect. The American cover art is good in a so bad, it's good and entertaining way.
