Recommend to me some obscure games.

Played at least two "Chaos Rings" titles on my phone, long ago, good turn-based games.
At today, I haven't still understood if they are in English for Vita (original or patched) or just in Japanese.
They all bundled in english for Vita CR3 being patched with the original EN script... CR Omega up to CR2 have an English toggle in the ingame options.

World Neverland series, there's five of them I believe but the only one to ever have an English version is World Neverland: Elnea Kingdom.

Started playing this myself recently, it's a lot of fun especially if you love beat em ups

Literally the name of the game 😅

This game is so damn stupid and funny you really can't help but love it

So glad you asked!
I'll stick with approachable stuff, nothing too crazy.

For something recent-ish - Disillusion (I'm shocked I found a video on this game)

And for something more readily emulatable - Elemental Gimmick Gear (Dreamcast)

Not only "Riviera", but the whole "Dept Heaven Series" on PSP (Yggdra Union, Knights in the Nightmare, Gungnir), I played them all and found them beautiful in their different ways.
I didn't say Yggdra because I thinks it's more known that Riviera, but I agree that the entire series is great!
on what platform? :)
PSP or GBA?
I've only play the one on GBA tbh, I prefer the look of that one more. :)

Hexplore is pretty obscure and it is pretty good if you like old computer arpgs
Wheel of Time is a great fps kind of like hexen but with magic and no 18 part switch puzzles.
Quest For Glory V is probably my favorite rpg/point and click hybrid that I never hear people talk about anymore.

Here's 15!

Take your pick!

Recommend some games that are obscure but very good.
How obscure are we talking here? It would really depend. Also, are you looking to buy or emulate? Do you play indie games? Fangames? Genres you wouldn’t play? Some specifics would help.

The most obscure games that nobody heard of/talks about.
And I'm gonna emulate them with what little storage in my phone I have left.
The genre doesn't matter, as long as it's good.

Not only obscure, but I think very good, here are 3:
---
Hat World, New Testament: A sprawling and super unique turn based rpg for pc (works on steam deck, I hear, emulates fine with wine). This is kinda like a Saga game, but has a crazy but compelling story. Play several scenarios with different characters whose stats are preserved across scenarios, and eventually get rolled into one big super-scenario. Lots of character build possibilities and some tough bosses later on. Think Saga Frontier or Live a Live and you are on the right track. Freeware! A longer description and where to get it on this reddit thread. https://www.reddit.com/r/JRPG/comments/11yzcgw/hat_world_new_testament/

Vantage Master: English by Falcom - yes, *that* (Ys, Trails) Falcom. Cool turn based strategy with discrete levels where you summon different spirits and fight it out. Spirits can get 'veteran' ranks in a battle, but only MC carries on between levels. You get new spirits to summon as you pass levels. Pretty dang hard, so make sure you like turn based tactics. Think Advance wars with the CO on the battlefield fighting it out and summoning freaky monsters. Freeware, distributed by Falcom: https://www.falcom.co.jp/vantage/index_e.html
Bonus: Check out lord monarch, by Falcom, too https://www.falcom.co.jp/monarch/index_e.html
---
Nectaris (or military madness): A hex/turn based strategy with really well-balanced gameplay. Discrete levels that get more difficult as you go. You don't 'buy' units, but take over bases with neutral (or your opponents) troops inside with infantry, then you can deploy and use them. There are lots of versions (some are available here). The DOS version has a lot more content and I think the nicest music and graphics. Can get it at 'My abandonware'.
Cheers!

Not sure how obscure it is nowadays but Brave fencer Musashi for the PS1 is a fantastic playthrough.

A surprising amount of people have never heard of Lufia: The Legend Returns for the Game Boy Color , it was the third game in the franchise had a fairly unique battle system for the time.

And Road Trip is one of my favorite PS2 games, I put so many hours into it.

Another quite obscure one is Despiria from Dreamcast, also in Japanese.
Oh hey I'm currently in the middle of watching Marsh's video on it (not watching all at once), it seems cool so far.
The most obscure games that nobody heard of/talks about.
Well in my case the most obscure I know of would be my friend's RPG Maker games about Orphism on itch.io, starting with Destiny of Dionysus. But I'm not sure if it could be played on a phone, or most of the games I'd recommend it. But fuck it we ball.

Fighting games: Schwarzerblitz is free on steam, 3d fighting game with faux retro (PSOne) aesthetic and in depth story mode. MerFight is a solid and cheap 2d fighter with a good amount of content. For an older arcade game, Martial Champion remains unique with its weapon system where some characters can be disarmed and have their weapon stolen.

Nintendo: Sakura Samurai is an early 3DS eShop title where the combat is based around iado, the style of swordplay where you keep your sword sheathed until you strike. And I briefly got obsessed with Sushi Striker which is a VS puzzle game where you line up sushi of matching color to attack your opponent and there's a light monster collector aspect. Glory of Heracles is an RPG on the DS, first of its series released in English

Other: The Overlord series has been forgotten by a lot by this point, action adventure with some strategy elements in commanding your minions Pikmin style. I also need more people to talk to about The Crush House, which is a 'thirst person shooter' where you play as the camerawoman/producer for a reality show with a dark secret.
