there's this "game" that stuck with me for the past decade called "Creatures Such As We".
it's an interactive fiction story. i've finally forgotten the story but i remember how it made me feel, so i am excited to play it again.

also! a visual novel called "One Thousand Lies" is great too.

Also if you want a good DS Shooter that's also a survival horror check Dementium.

totally agree about dementium, that and its sequel impressed me a ton back in the day. the cartridge got kind of pricey for a bit.

i think more people need to play baroque, i'm pretty into the ps2 version but i know most people prefer the ps1 or saturn version. respect either way, just play the game.

dark cloud 2 is considered a classic B game on the ps2, but i think the first one is a lot better, even though a lot of people pass it over. give it a shot.

Ichigeki Sacchu, its only in japanese but you can play the game even if you dont know, its like a armored core but with cute dolls.

Another quite obscure one is Despiria from Dreamcast, also in Japanese.

The Chaos Rings Series by Square is a Hidden Gem.

Dunno abou it being obscure but Goemon New Generation is really solid!

Not only "Riviera", but the whole "Dept Heaven Series" on PSP (Yggdra Union, Knights in the Nightmare, Gungnir), I played them all and found them beautiful in their different ways.

This Pangya on PSP: for me, best golf game EVER!!! I also tried the "Everybody Golf" series both on PSP and PSVita, but Pangya always remains at top place!!! A long campaign, a lot of challenges, wonderful free play, many courses, lots of costumes and customization for who cares, cute characters and nice story.

Played at least two "Chaos Rings" titles on my phone, long ago, good turn-based games.
At today, I haven't still understood if they are in English for Vita (original or patched) or just in Japanese.
