Recommend me some car games

Parking Garage Rally has all the drifting you'll ever need.

Not car but F-Zero GX is just as amazing now as it was at launch, it's pure arcade perfection.

I would also say that Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers (Sonic fangame) is worth trying, as a kart racer it can be way too complex and punishing at times and it isn't exactly very beginner friendly (it's the opposite of Mario Kart in a way, it's all skill and no rng), but if you learn the mechanics it's the most content rich kart racer out there alongside having a extremely polished presentation, (use passwords if you want to cheat some stuff like the hour long tutorial).

I like car games, the problem is, I haven't played that many. I've found that I mainly enjoy arcade racers and combat racing games. I tend to not enjoy things that are more on the simulation and realism side (though I have been kinda interested in trying the new Tokyo Extreme Racer). So for example, I've tried Wreckfest several times but I found the physics to be too heavy and just not that fun, but more recently I tried Trail Out, which, despite being kinda jank, I found a lot more fun. It also reminded me a lot Demolition Racer: No Exit, which is a childhood favorite of mine.

Anyway, I've been wanting to try more car games and I'd like people's recommendations. It doesn't matter what era or platform, as long as it's not Xbox One or Xbox Series as I'm just not a part of that ecosystem.
Try this games on PC, maybe you will like them:

The drifting aspect of car games is interesting. I've never been good at it, so a lot of the car games that I like don't rely on it much. I did enjoy Crash Team Racing though

Outrun 2006 has been on my radar, I'd have picked it up for PS2 or Xbox already if it wasn't super expensive, but I just found out it has a PC version that can be modded to run well on modern computers with OutRun2006Tweaks. Installed and played a bit this morning, it's a very fun game! Thanks for the recommendation.
