Rasslin’ (WWE, AEW, etc…)

Their free match selection is usually really on-point in my opinion! Tons of history defining classics are out there! Just wish they’d toss the occasional oldie there haha. I started to get really attached to pre-attitude era stuff, specifically from ECW and some niche UK promotions.

the WCW channel has been a good add but theyre still avoiding putting 1999 stuff on 2000 thunder is about as watchable as 2019 raw.
So true indeed. One of the dullest oldies haha.

i still try and collect wwe dvds but usually avoid the stuff that had the WWF logo blurred that time was truly embarassing when they blurred and edited out saying WWF.

I had TNT UK in 1999 it was cartoon network to 9pm then it was brother mania with hulk hogan in the red and yellow that summer. i used to skate at a youth club but skated home to watch nitro lol.

I loved what I’ve seen of TNT, it’s a neat promotion. :D

I started watching WWE recently, and I feel like I picked a pretty good moment because right now the fans who’ve been into it for a while are complaining about what’s going on, while I’m actually enjoying it. And never watched anything from it for my over 20 years life.

Honestly, you'd find people complaining no matter when you started watching it ::cirnoshrug
That's cool that you're enjoying it though!::peacemario

Personally as someone who doesn’t watch it obsessively anymore, it’s absolutely worth getting into wrestling period just to learn about the history, watch old matches, find wrestlers to connect with and moments you won’t forget. It’s a beautiful thing.

I know it's with everything and i don't give a damn about it but even thou it's better to start something in the downfall than in best imo.

I'm still finding what happened before. Right now i'm only limited to what netflix have and what's on WWE yt channel (they even have old Undertaker fights). I'm still sad that i don't have a good way to watch anything from competition, like AEW in my country.

Yeah, I was guilty of trying to "complete" wrestling at one point ::sailor-embarrassed

WWE have a bunch of YT channels btw. Most of them have really good stuff from various different eras. AEW do have some free matches on their channel, but it's not a lot

Netflix already got a fantastic collection of oldies. It’s great.
Yeah i'm grateful for what is on it but still there is missing content. For example i want to watch some fights on raw from 2000-2010 but in my country raw vault on have season from 1993-2001 and then 2022-2024 and even in older raws none season have 50-52 episodes.

Once you watch wrestling long enough you start finding things to complain about. That's when you know you've become a real fan LOL. It's fun when you're just starting though and everything feels new.

Everyone's talking about watching old stuff, everyone should check out Lucha Underground at some point. There's never been anything quite like it and it'll make you understand why certain people like Fénix and Pentagon are so popular now. You'll get to see when Ricochet started to really get noticed. You'll see why WWE decided to hire Iyo Sky and Kairi after their one memorable appearance in Lucha Underground. You'll also get to see where Swerve Stickland started to develop his skill at pro wrestling story telling.

Also, little tip for watching old stuff. Keep an eye on private trackers and see if they ever start taking admissions. XWT and PWtorrents come to mind. If you ever get in one, a seedbox is mandatory. Anyone who says otherwise is full of shit. GET A GODDAMN SEEDBOX. I'll leave it at that.

I kinda know something about them. While watching wwe only bryan is the one i didn't recognize

And I can say I got into wrestling right now because not every guy is walking muscle mountain and there is more diversity in Women Division. My Favourites right now from guys are CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Penta, Drew McIntyre, Dominic Mysterio, and Sheamus. From ladies will be Jade Cargill, IYO, Asuka, Kairi, Jordynne Grace, Lash Legend, and Charlotte with Alexa in tag.

I think I posted them already, but some of my current faves are

Iyo Sky - She's having an awesome year
Stephanie Vaquer - I knew she was amazing back when I saw her wrestle Mercedes Moné in a tournament for the IWGP Women's Championship
LA Knight - I want him to win a world title
DIrty Dominik Mysterio
Chelsea Green and the Secret HERvice
Liv Morgan
Hangman Adam Paige
- The main character of AEW
Christian Cage- "I hear you had a father..."
Harley Cameron - The most entertaining woman in AEW
Orange Cassidy - Truly one of a kind character
The Young Bucks - The best tag team in the world
Natsupoi

Some of my all time faves:

Banger picks. Joe and Lee would be higher for me if I watched more of their stuff. I was way more RoH and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla but TNA is awesome too.
I also like your picks quite a bit.

Joe is maybe my all-time favourite men's wrestler? I'm very happy I got to see him wrestle live! I mainly watched Keith Lee in NXT, but he has such charisma. Shame he hasn't wrestled in a bit.

I missed out on a lot of ROH & PWG. Just mainly seen what I've found on YouTube

Speaking of Men’s wrestling, I took a small break from that to indulge in Joshi a bit, AKA idol wrestlers. It’s a fun niche.

I've seen a little bit of Stardom & Marigold. Plus, Asuka in WWE (FKA Kana) has a personal YouTube channel with some of her old matches from Japan. It is fun. Variety being a spice and all that
