I honestly blame Shuntaro Furukawa for Nintendo's current attitude. The second that dude was introduced I got "arrogant bastard" vibes off of him. He seems like the kind of guy who got the position because he promised investors he'd make them boatloads of money.

it's just really STUPID, palworld plays absolutely nothing close to pokemon, outside 'have monster, they fight with you'
like, anyone's who's PLAYED palworld at all even.. the first 10 minutes, is gonna know that.
pokemon doesn't have guns
pokemon doesn't have base building (that i'm aware of?)
pokemon doesn't have mining, farming, supply lines, food, hunger, stamina.
pokemon the trainer does almost nothing.
it's entirely dumb
i've seen SO many pokemon clones that are much more "pokemon" like and nintendo didn't give a shit
they're after palworld because people actually like it MORE than pokemon,
it's straight jealousy and "stop taking MY money!" bullshit

meanwhile palworld devs are actively trying to make the game less pokemon, changing Pal designs (especially that ones that literally looked like color swap pokemon)
