Rasslin’ (WWE, AEW, etc…)

Man I’m always greatly pleased when the wrestling thread gets bumped

I enjoy some things in AEW and WWE, however most shows are really boring. Those first 2-3 years of AEW was what I wanted from a wrestling company, but I feel like they lost a lot of that in the years since. And while Triple H came in with a lot of praise in terms of creative, I'm feeling the same way about him as I do Tony Khan nowadays. Too many long matches, not enough interesting storytelling, and they both love chaotic brawls (or schmoz in wrestling lingo). That said, Toni Storm and Mariah May was some of the best storytelling in AEW in a long time.

Curious if anyone here knows about the "smark vs anti-smark" war that has been going on with wrestling fans for many years now.
It's pretty much the primary reason why I never interact with internet wrestling fans these days. It's EXTREMELY toxic, and this is coming from someone who unfortunately was a part of that "war", falling into the latter.

Did you ever like to watch pro wrestling and do you currently watch? Who is your all time favorite and current favorites

Its hard to pick an all time favorite but I think I'll go with RVD. My current favorite is Penta. WWE does get boring sometimes but I still watch and like what they are currently doing.

I watched AEW for the first couple years or so before I lost interest. Most of the wrestling stuff I watch now are the Deadlock podcasts with John Blud, Puls3, and TonyPizzaGuy, Brian Zane of Wrestling With Wregret, and The Stevie Richards Show.

I dont know much about wrestling podcasts but do watch some interviews on youtube. Many times the real life story is just as interesting as the stuff we see in the show

Iyo Sky vs. Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley from Night 2 had to be the best match from both nights, wanted to see what others thought about the event?

It was definitely one of the best, more worthy of being the main event than the actual main event

Rhea Ripley has always been my favorite.

RIP Sabu. Absolute legend.
Heartbreaking news. Followed nearly every shoot interview he put out. Genuine role model from what I learned about the guy. Hopefully he went out peacefully.
