PS1 PSX JRPG Mega Thread

Started off with Saga Frontier ages ago as my first ps1 game once i got my ps2 since then i've been collecting here and there for other ps1 jrpgs from xenogears ff7 parasite eve and thosuand arms to name a few.

I guess I already played everything the psx had to offer that has been translated to english one way or another. I really love the jrpg library, but I can't really recommend freaking Beyond the Beyond like some did here lol (by the way I hate puzzles in my jrpgs)

Anyways, the psx had some of the most amazing jrpgs of all time, but I'll make a special mention to my favorite game of all time, since I think no one did:

I'm a bit surprised at no mention of Breath of Fire thus far, considering the PS1 titles are the series's most beloved. Do they not count since the series did not originate on the system? I apologize if so.

Keep thinking there's more of these than there actually are. Star Ocean 2 and Valkyrie Profile (both tri-Ace) are wicked.

You know, you should really, really be playing the PC Ultima Underworld over that botch of a console port. Rhapsody's also been underwhelming for me so far, half the dungeons I've hit have been recolors of one cave map set.
Threads of Fate rocks, though.

Always gets overlooked due to Square's other games, but a great game with branching paths and tons of replay value.

preferred it over trigger, and I know I'll be crucified for this view.

Started with Final Fantasy VIII as my first ever "jrpg", but my favorite to this day still remains Parasite Eve (the second game doesn't exist.)
