It's the digital version, but that is super cheap. Sony a definitly going to sell a lot of them in the UK this month.

I paid 200 for mine. Pre-owned in a very very good condition. And Sony got jack shit money from me. which serves them right with their dumb decisions.

You know that Sony normally loses money on hardware and makes it back on games right?

If anything, you've done them a favor.

Yes I do know the lose money on it they lost shit loads on the PS3. But if you pirate games they gain nothing. My point is they did not get a dime from me and as I did not need to buy games as it came with some they still got jack shit from me.

I thought getting one for £220 (disc) was a good deal. £200 is pretty darn good.
I had to reapply the liquid metal on mine, but it's been pretty much flawless since then.

>Digital only
The good old anti consumer tactic of excluding the second hand games market.
Everything must be single use, prices set by the lone storefront monopoly.
Sony encourages this by selling their restrictive product at a ludicrously low price to trick people into forgetting that after purchase they're trapped into owning nothing.

If your PSN account is banned, that's it. Bye bye functionality & purchases.

I don't mean to be negative, but we fought hard against this back when the always online Xbox One launched. Only for Nintendo to normalised not having any data on a game key & single use products a decade later with the Switch 2.
I'm kinda passionate about warning people over the dangers of buying maliciously hostile anti-consumer products.

Because if a disc free Playstation ever exceeded what hidden internal sales requirement Sony has.
The next playstation will 100% be digital only. You will pay at least $80 and a online subscription for games you do not own.

A digital license isn't the same as physical ownership. One is dependent on a third party licensor, the other isn't.

the PS portal goes down 20 dollars and that sucks i was expecting 150 but nope 180... greedy bastards.

As much as I like Physical games and still have 100's of PlayStation disc games from PS3-PS5 (I sold everything prior to that and emulate it), I find this scare mongering over digital a bit much.

Do you know how much of an effort it is to actually get a perma ban on PSN? You have to be a real arsehole and repeatedly send awful messages and say some really bad stuff to get a perma ban.

You can get quite a few suspensions before they actually issue a full ban. I've personally had two suspensions in the last 6 years. One I disagree with because someone who I beat on Virtua Fighter sent me a message "Stop playing on WiFi" to which I replied "You're Mum's a WiFi".

That was a 12 hour suspension that I didn't even notice because it was while I was asleep!

The other suspension was my fault because I tried to see if account sharing still worked like it did on PS3. It does not!

But digital games can be played over the cloud on a portal, can never accidently get broken because you dropped it or lost because you moved stuff. And because they take up zero actual space in your house, you're wife can't moan they are taking up room or try to make you sell them!

i did some nasty stuff in PS4/Vita chat back in the day.... i'm shocked i'm not did a supened on PSN for what i did

As some ones who's original PSN account was hacked in 2014, can you guess what Sony's solution was?
Permabanned the account.
All my digital PS3 Games? Tokyo Jungle? Parasite Eve? (Which never had a physical European release) gone along with everything else.
Because some Arabic guy brought my details after Sony's data leak and tried to pull a fast one by using my saved details to buy $200 worth of fifa points.
My money was refunded... Thanks to my Bank. The account & games? Gone

It's disingenuous to claim that account bans only happen to bad people.
It's down right ignorant to dismiss the dangers of digital licenses because it simply hasn't happened to you or some one you know.

And now you know not to use the same password for everything.

Plus use 2-step for anything that has involved you spending money.

That's the funny thing about a Data leak, it allows people to access your passwords even if they were different for every account.

And this pre-dates Sony's introduction two factor authentication.
Can you guess what event forced them to implement it?

But hey, who cares about consumer rights and corporate over reach.

You will buy a digital license that only lease's you access to a game.
When that lease is revoked and you lose access. Womp Womp.

I never thought I would meet a Pirate Software sympathiser in the wild, on a gaming archiving no less.
Stop Killing Games?
No, it's victim blaming time. Everything must be single use and bound to an account you have no ownership off ::winkfelix ::eggmanlaugh
