>Digital only
The good old anti consumer tactic of excluding the second hand games market.
Everything must be single use, prices set by the lone storefront monopoly.
Sony encourages this by selling their restrictive product at a ludicrously low price to trick people into forgetting that after purchase they're trapped into owning nothing.
If your PSN account is banned, that's it. Bye bye functionality & purchases.
I don't mean to be negative, but we fought hard against this back when the always online Xbox One launched. Only for Nintendo to normalised not having any data on a game key & single use products a decade later with the Switch 2.
I'm kinda passionate about warning people over the dangers of buying maliciously hostile anti-consumer products.
Because if a disc free Playstation ever exceeded what hidden internal sales requirement Sony has.
The next playstation will 100% be digital only. You will pay at least $80 and a online subscription for games you do not own.
A digital license isn't the same as physical ownership. One is dependent on a third party licensor, the other isn't.
