Power Instinct (also known as Gōketsuji Ichizoku in Japan) was released by Atlus on both the Super Famicom and SEGA Mega Drive, but only released for the Super Nintendo in the US, I'm sharing the Mega Drive version here for preservation.

Groove On Fight (the third game in the series and also my personal favorite) has a much darker atmosphere and tone than the previous and subsequent games.
Same.
it also took place 20 years after the other games, had tag team gameplay and some of the artwork (besides main artist Range Murata) was done by the artist from the Shin Megami Tensei series, hence the darker visual tone.

Needs an English fan translation

My two mains the monk and the ninja next to each other on the cover

Does this series have anything.. well, serious to its name? The only ending I saw after playing was very unserious
