post characters that look fucking stupid

i'm sorry but this is the most joyless, bland, "my favorite rapper is drake"-ass take i've seen on this site.

Funny that arguably Nomura's best design is also the simplest - the Barbie-looking lady who frequently wears either very little, or nothing at all...

Aya is a very good exemple of how Nomura is actually a good character designer when not exaggerating on the clothes. His characters are attractive and interesting but their clothes tend to become silly with lots of zippers, belts (and plaids nowadays as @Yousef mentioned).

He does draws heavily from 2000's japanese street fashion with hints of visual key and goth. There is a fine line between cool and weird but I personaly think Nomura has more hits than misses.

Also, he clearly has a type for his main girl/heroines, specially when you look at the main girls from FF VII to X.

Every video game character ever, you could post any and they’d look goofy.

3D era Mortal Kombat had a lot of stinkers, but this stupid goober takes the cake.

Swan! Looks stupid but I pooped a bit on myself when that one jumped out of the pond in Fallout 4 VR's.
