post characters that look fucking stupid

i'm sorry but this is the most joyless, bland, "my favorite rapper is drake"-ass take i've seen on this site.

anyways, some of the mavericks from mega man x look pretty dumb

Funny that arguably Nomura's best design is also the simplest - the Barbie-looking lady who frequently wears either very little, or nothing at all...

Aya is a very good exemple of how Nomura is actually a good character designer when not exaggerating on the clothes. His characters are attractive and interesting but their clothes tend to become silly with lots of zippers, belts (and plaids nowadays as @Yousef mentioned).

He does draws heavily from 2000's japanese street fashion with hints of visual key and goth. There is a fine line between cool and weird but I personaly think Nomura has more hits than misses.

Also, he clearly has a type for his main girl/heroines, specially when you look at the main girls from FF VII to X.

Every video game character ever, you could post any and they’d look goofy.

Swan! Looks stupid but I pooped a bit on myself when that one jumped out of the pond in Fallout 4 VR's.

I always found Conde Petie's boss in FFIX very cute.... His movements, his clumsy moves, and especially his astonished look.

He looks unfinished, or like he's wearing Kazuya's or Jin's gloves as an entire outfit.
It feels like his design was made with an entirely different character personality in mind.
Too few colors, too much red, leather jacket tucked into his weird (unbuttoned) wading pants, ugly metallic bumps all over, everything on his boots are the same color for some dumb reason, corny scarf. It looks more like the uniform of a sci-fi military commander than a fantasy swordsman to me.

Worst taste on RGT

@Turbo Kid
Nah, I’m sorry about that, man. It was just rude of me for no reason. I was angry at something totally different and it spilled over just because I disagreed. I apologize.
