Does it match your bin file name? I am not at my computer currently sorry. I dont know what to say then. Cue file insides should match bin file name before patching and change it again to match after patching. And the game is played by loading the cue i think. I dont remember. If nothing else, idk. Im sorry.

Here is how the files are named...

I afraid to say it but I think the fairies might not like me. :<

Edit: Hopefully someone will have an upload of 1.2 or perhaps the dev will figure out something that works with FPGA.

Looks perfect to me. Just one more try if u want to redownload the repo versiom and follow the steps. 1st patch name cue insides "Pixygarden (Japan) (Game Disc).cue" same as bin name -> patch -> file insides after what you showed me. If it doesnt work. The fairies are doomed and @Dimcas or @Macaulay Kong needs to send a fixed file. And then u try. And if still not, r u using a phone or computer to play? And it may be the emu then and all the fairies have passed away into sadness. :( and use duckstation instead

I've tried the repo version and a another version from a different site.

I've been using PCSX ReARMed on my Windows 10 PC to try to load the game before throwing it into my FPGA.

You are right that maybe the fairies just don't like that emulator. It would be weird though if they didn't since when I test the "old" files they boot right up with no problem.

I'll try downloading an alternative emulator really quick to see if it's just that making the fairies upset.

Your dedication is what will help the fairies to live and they will thrive because u have such a determination to see them be successful. I pray the fairies will grant you this blessing.

The fairies are fickle.

I went ahead and loaded duckstation to try to appease them.

The fairies are still sulking. I tried my best but I think I might need to take a break a bit.

The fairies probably don't like me being so pushy.

Hopefully some brave soul will upload their files and I can borrow them and see if the fairies like that instead.

Yes rest my intrepid traveler of the daunting valley you walk in search of the elusive friendship of these playful fairies borderline meanspirited. I pray they have compassion on u later when they see u r strained for respite and also some noble adventurer or magician will lift you up by providing the clue or key or downright the very item of legend needed to open the door to... the Pixygarden Eng Patch. I take my leave as i have been wearied too and must slumber for merely a brief spell.

It looks from an earlier post that the files patched correctly. You should be able to just load the .BIN file directly in Duckstation.

The original files should have the following properties when you download them:

Filename: Pixygarden (Japan) (Game Disc).bin
Size: 355 MB (372,439,200 bytes)

Filename: Pixygarden (Japan) (Game Disc).cue
Size: 96 bytes (96 bytes)

Inside the .cue file should be these exact contents:
FILE "Pixygarden (Japan) (Game Disc).bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

As Hexadecimal bytes:

4649 4C45 2022 5069 7879 6761 7264 656E 2028 4A61 7061 6E29 2028 4761 6D65 2044 6973 6329 2E62 696E 2220 4249 4E41 5259 0D0A 2020 5452 4143 4B20 3031 204D 4F44 4532 2F32 3335 320D 0A20 2020 2049 4E44 4558 2030 3120 3030 3A30 303A 3030 0D0A

You can check the SHA-1 Hash for the .bin (look up how to do that for your particular OS) and the hash should be: E4D18F36950FB2F20EB13DAB978752ED9C101FDC

If you have these files and the hash/data matches, you have the right files and the patch should work just fine. The .cue typically isn't needed for the patched game to run (not sure if an FPGA system wants to see a .cue file). If you run the .bin directly, it should run.

Edit: Hopefully someone will have an upload of 1.2
Here you go

You have ~6 days.

What's inside:
Pixygarden_ENG_PATCH_v1.2\ - english patch v 1.2 from romhacking.net
Pixygarden (ENG Patched) (Game Disc).bin - main game cd, english patched bin-bile (v1.2)
Pixygarden (ENG Patched) (Game Disc).cue - suitable for patched game cd cue-file
Pixygarden (Japan) (Disc 1) (Game Disc).bin - unmodified game cd file from beyond
Pixygarden (Japan) (Disc 1) (Game Disc).cue - unmodified cue file for game cd file from beyond
Pixygarden (Japan) (Disc 2) (Extra Disc).bin - unmodified extra cd file from beyond
Pixygarden (Japan) (Disc 2) (Extra Disc).cue - unmodified cue-file for extra cd file from beyond

But you should figure out how to patch the game yourself. It'll come in handy for future patch updates (or patches for other games).

Get on it @Haruna_Kamijo thank you @Onicat the fairies will grow now thanks to your help and the suffering will end. Hopefully.

Onicat and Metalgeareris, thank you so much for your help on this.

Your prepatched version and original japanese version saved me.

I think with this iso if another patch comes out I'll probably be okay.

With the assistance of everyone the fairies have successfully been summoned.

Now I can go exploring.

In the future I will try to improve my computer skills so that I can handle this stuff on my own but I'm glad there are magicians like you two who are there to help out when I find myself in trouble.

THANK YOU!

Yes, now use this ancient knowledge of the arcane arts to bring life to the fairies and help their planets grow. But also use the training of patience you learned forged in the arduous fire of tribulation to strengthen your resolve and purify you like the gold which can be molded into beautiful fabrications of soft elegant compassion needed to raise these little deviants. May you be blessed on your endeavor!
