I am pretty confident it's a NES light gun game, but I can't think of anything other than Chiller and Duck Hunt, which it obviously isn't. Maybe a Genesis light gun game? Anyway, perhaps it's time for a hint to help us out?

Nope.

Another hint, it was cancelled back in the day but a nearly completed version was dumped online. It has since received a small scale physical release.
