It's been a while so I guess it's hint time:

1. It's an early 90s Amiga game. I think it had ports to Atari ST and C64 but I'm not gonna lie, I'm not entirely certain about that.
2. It was made by a small German team.
3. The soundtrack was made by a very famous composer.

Looks like a Wii game but beyond that I have no idea, at least for now.

Console games are generally not my strong suit. I've played quite a few thanks to emulation but Amiga/PC is my bastion really.

Been many years since I've heard from someone else's mouth about this game.

It's a very sad yet typical victim of corporate mismanagement that failed to live up to its great predecessor. Monolith went on to make great things with the Lithtech engine but this one was just an underfunded, underdeveloped and prematurely released dud. A massive shame, really. Thanks GT Interactive, not very cool.
