I'm more familiar with the Wii version, but I imagine that one is also good fun!My favorite rhythm game has to be rhythm haven for sure!

Love me some Taiko no Tatsuijin! Osu is a bit above my personal skill setbeatmania IIDX, there is nothing that can top it really. Dance Dance Revolution or In The Groove go hard too, and other hardcore rhythm games.
I personally dislike Osu with passion. Ouendan 1 and 2 with EBA are OK games by generally a shovelware company so it has some glaring design issues like bad life bar and generally bad scoring system that focuses on combo rather than accuracy first. These systems being taken as is without fixes into osu, while community builds up the game several fold more complex than the hardest songs in the original games becomes one of the most miserable annoying games to play. it is not fun to grind a game where one miss equals a full restart while other systems focusing on accuracy lets you try through a whole song with prospect of improvement regardless the combo.
Taiko no Tatsujin or even Donkey Konga are good fun.
Anything Miku/Project Diva gets my approval. I am only ok at it skill-wise thoughProject Diva Arcade

I didn't know there was an arcade version! I really enjoyed Final Bar Line & KH: Melody of Memory. I really wish the Dragon Quest one was localised!Final Fantasy Theatrhythm!
Especially the arcade version because it had local multiplayer, but I’ve only ever seen one once in my life.
If I count the Karaoke/Disco Dancing minigames from Yakuza for myself, then I don't see why that couldn't count for you!Does the Subrosian dance minigame in Oracle of Seasons count?
I still want a Taiko drum as well! I nearly bought one for my Switch back in 2020-2021The others I've played extensively have been guitar hero/clone hero/frets on fire and Taiko no Tatsujin. I've been meaning to buy a Taiko drum for the Switch but I haven't got around to it yet lmao
Project Diva rules! I'm not as keen on Metal Hellsinger, but I'm glad such a unique idea exists!Hatsune Miku Project Diva and Metal Hellsinger.
Exactly! As a Miku lover I really appreciate the existence of Project Diva and as a Metalhead and fan of doom 2016 I really apreciate the existence of metal hellsinger. If I count the Karaoke/Disco Dancing minigames from Yakuza for myself, then I don't see why that couldn't count for you!

What bothered me about Melody of Memories is only really a nitpick, but a few of my favourite songs to play on there didn't count towards certain milestones like total enemies defeated. I really enjoyed it otherwise.1- Project Diva MM+ on Pc with mods for mooore songs
2- Taiko No Tatsujin Rythm festival
3- Persona 4 dacing
4- Persona 3 Dancing
5- Groove Coaster Switch
6- Rythm Heaven Wii/3DS
7- Theatrhythm FF Bar line (even if i mess up with the joystick the controlls were better on 3ds but local multiplier is fun)
8-Project Sekai Colorful Stage
The games that disapointed me:
-Kingdom Hearts Melody of memories, I beat it but sometime i feel like the songs and targets aren't exactly matching
-Persona 5 dancing, The remix seems a lot lower in quality compared to the others games accord to me
Funny thing is I'm quite compotent on a guitar by a guitar hero I'm bloody uselessGuitar hero though my 2 tin lids smoke me at it
I'm the opposite! I used to be really good at Guitar Hero, but I was always hopeless on an actual guitarGuitar hero though my 2 tin lids smoke me at it

I love how P4D had a proper Persona-style story to it! P3D & P5D were also great fun, but I was a little disappointed at how scaled back their stories wereP4/P5 Dancing games. They're really fun!

I never ended up trying Project Diva X. I mostly played Project Diva f 2nd on my PS Vita, and then Future Tone when that came out on PS4.I got into rhythm gaming back in 2021, and I somehow managed to play a ton of rhythm games on various devices and platforms. Somehow though, I still have a ton more games I want to play!
Here's my current top 5.
1. BeatmaniaIIDX
2. Samba De Amigo
3. Project Diva (except I didn't really like project diva x that much.)
4. Sound Voltex
5. DDR
And if i'm being honest here, it'd be easier to name rhythm games I haven't played than the ones I have.
Also, while this isn't necessarily a rhythm game, there are so many rhythm games with Touhou songs!
