and because it's the earliest one I played,

I tried out DJ Hero a couple of times, but I always kinda struggled with it

I haven't played a newer rhythm game in quite awhile. I loved all the Bemani stuff up through the PS2 era with the exception of DrumMania and Martial Beat, as I never encountered those outside of seeing them for sale in shops. I also liked Parappa and Lammy, the first Bust-a-Move, and even the Mario DDR on GC wasn't bad.

Vib-Ribbon, Unjammer Lammy, Theatrhytm Final Fantasy Curtain call, the Taiko no Tatsujin series, the Hatsune Miku series (haven't played the games that came out after the vita/ps3 ones), and Rhythm Heaven of course (special mention : Guitar Heroes 3)

A lot of great choices! I've played PaRappa, but not Um Jammer Lammy. I wanted to get a physical copy at one point, but that expensive ship has long since sailed hehe

parappa and lammy are way cheaper to import from japan!
