I believe it's been nominated, yeah. For best game design or direction something. It was mentioned in some headline somewhere.
To oversimplify it to the extreme, it's essentially a Poker Roguelike. It's also addictive as all goddamn hell, so there's that.

It really strips out the extraneous and gets to the heart of what's fun in semi-roguelikes, like Hades, or Griftlands, or Dead Cells.

What's left is choices, enough randomness to keep things interesting, and math...oh god help you if you love math.

Gotta throw Rebirth out there as mine. it and remake both fulfilled what i imagined the game could look like as a kid. Unicorn Overlord and Astro Bot are clooooose though
