I wouldn't go that far, but it was a solid time nonetheless! Just bugs me they put the ability to play it offline as separate DLC. Sure, it was free DLC but you were pretty much downloading the entire game again

I think that the sort of bandwagon-esque over-hate culture is a problem in its own right, but:

Gotham Knights (2022)

Not a masterpiece by any stretch, but a lot of fun and could have fit in with the Arkham game universe with a few story tweaks. Just wish I had the chance to check out multiplayer with friends as plotting a stealth assault on criminal hideouts with real people sounds like so much fun.

Sonic Frontiers (2022)

For my personal taste, this is the best Sonic game. It's not even close. It has many flaws, and the free DLC they put out somehow managed to sour a lot of people on it, myself included, but this is the direction I hope Sonic continues on in the future. Or at least give me an expanded-upon sequel before completely moving onto to some other gimmick.

I liked RE6 not as a RE game but as an action game it's quite solid, honestly I never understood the people who love RE4 but hate RE5 and RE6 when they play almost identical except 5&6 have co op and no escort missions, do people just miss the escort missions!

people hate it for superficial things like raiden, but nobody talks about it very often, its biggest flaw in general is that almost the whole game looks like a copypaste of the selfish gene by richard dawkins and other studies.

RE 6 was a good action game just not a good resident evil game, and the "advanced controls" were great, you just didn't have the skills to learn how to use them properly.

People hate DQ2??? While DQ4 exists??? Man, what a world we live in... DQ2 might be my favorite in the series (tied with DQ3). 4 was unrelentingly boring.

See, now I am going to have to step in and defend DQ4. I will admit that it can be a bit slow with the necessary grinding to beat the chapter bosses, but I liked DQ4 and played through it multiple times as a kid.

While yes, the game could be hard and frustrating at points- it more than well makes up for it in the sheer uniqueness and atmosphere this title brings! I suppose? Don’t be afraid to use save states the first playtrough! The more you play it, the difficulty really isn’t so bad- muscle memory FTW!

I didn't wanna engage because unlike you I don't want to shame others for enjoying a game I may not like, but since you brought this up (and you are using this tone) honestly I think RE4 is complete garbage, I never got the appeal (other than shooty shooty bang bang) it plays nothing like RE, when I think RE I think being trapped in a zombie infested mansion solving puzzles trying to escape, not a generic western military shooter escorting a bratty girl shooting realistic looking humans with racially insensitive accents.

RE4 was made solely to cater to the Americans and as an Asian it does not appeal to me, it's not Capcom's fault the sequels continued the trend of catering to Americans and imo RE5 and ESPECIALLY RE6 solve a lot of my issues with RE4 be it more ammo, more checkpoints, less escort missions, better story, they even have co op, something I wanted since RE0.

It's alright to have a different opinion but I would appreciate it if you tone it down, we all have different tastes and we all come from different cultures, I always try to encourage everyone to make their own opinion instead of following the trend.

Duke Nukem Forever

It has its flaws like long loading screens and some modern decision like carrying 2 guns (That, imho is not even bad). I would even dare to say that is helped to stay FPS away from the CoD/scripted all present formula and put FPS on a classic design but on modern systems, what will be (badly imo) called "boomer shooter" later. The level design where great and some jokes where fun.

But the gaming media decided they where too enlighten to hear dirty jokes from a character that was known for dirty jokes. so they trashed the game and it become the "cool" thing to do.

the game is really good. I highly recommend it.

Oh my god. You have NOT played any of the Resident Evil games at all. You are actively misrepresenting RE4 just to paint RE6 as a massive improvement whilst saying that RE4 was made "just to cater to the Americans" which is utterly prejudiced and hateful. Thanks for proving me valid.

EDIT: Look. There's nothing wrong with liking Resident Evil 6. In fact, as a fan of the HD era of Silent Hill (Homecoming and Downpour), I'm all for liking more despised entries in popular franchises. But to hate on one of the more popular entries by misrepresenting it and shitting on the western side of the fandom to defend RE6 is utterly illogical.

I've heard that the SNES version of Pac-Man 2 is a bit easier than the Genesis because you can apparently use the SNES Mouse? Still though, the game is charming, but very frustrating. I've often called it the "grown toddler simulator"

I'll still load up the Sega CD version because the soundtrack is stunning, but I've never gotten particularly far in it the game. But I do appreciate that it isn't hand-holdy

The thing I hate the most about RE4 y 5 is the aiming system, no crosshair but a VERY hard to see laser sight(dot), you can't move while aiming, and to make matters worse when you aim you move the caracter's hands NOT the camera so your character never aims at the center of the screen making it even harder to hit anything; it's awful LMAO.

When I said "Next level" I was talking about it's what a Resident Evil supposed to be, an action, campy an funny game with 0 horror (as Resident Evil has alway being since first psx game). About the controls, well, are not bad at all, so I'll say "skill issue". Don't worry big boy, one day you will be able to master it.

Wow. You do NOT get what Resident Evil is meant to be at all. In fact, you've never actually played any of the games. You said it yourself: You think RE is an "action, campy funny game with 0 horror as the series has always been". Thanks for further validating my points.

Nop, I actually have played all RE games, even Revelations 1 and 2 (and love them btw). And the only Resident Evil that is actually a horror game is RE7.

I will chime in and say, growing up playing RE1, 2, 3 & CV I was not scared (Alone in the Dark on Playstation did kinda make me uncomfortable a bit though, the atmosphere and the whispering of ghosts saying your name in the bg).

However, playing RE0 the first half of it I was scared as shit but this is only because I knew from my friend that there is a gigantic centipede boss fight and I have a phobia of those things but once I defeated that bitch I breezed through the game no problem, idk if this counts.

Speaking of which, this game gets undeservedly hated imo
