If you were only allowed to play one retro console for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

Assume that:
  • You have access to the entire library (including QoL hacks and fan translations)
  • You have all peripherals and controllers for the system
  • You have people to play with, either locally or online (or both)
  • You CANNOT play other systems' games, even through emulation or backwards-compatibility
Personally I think I'd go with the Dreamcast, it's got several of my favorite games ever and the multi-player selection never gets old. I'm not a fan of the default controller, but there are tons of other great options. And being able to play PSO (and other online games) with other people would be worth it. The only downside is the relatively small library. I would've given anything for it to have lasted a couple more years... but what we got was pretty great.

For me was Ps2 most of my favorite Jrpgs are there Dark Cloud Radiata Stories.Hack
(And of course it can play ps1 so I got a huge Library of rpgs)

That’s so hard, but if I’m following my heart, it would be the PS1. The PS2 is probably the best console on the list for me, and the N64 has some of my favorite games ever, but the PS1 has a charm to it, both in its games and the hardware itself that I just couldn’t let go of.

I would choose Sega Saturn, besides having nostalgia growing up with one in 1995, It happens to be my favorite home console of all-time. From excellent arcade ports, incredible system exclusives, and ambitious third-party software. Also happens to have my favorite controller (HSS-0101). セガサターン、シロ!

PS2 was the gateway for me being a Sony Pony during the Con-Wars.
Won't abandon my SOCOM series brothers.

Well, if it had backwards compatibility, ps3.
Just the phat ones

I have to go with PS2 as well. One of the biggest and best libraries of any system ever released, even if you only take into account the exclusive titles for the system, I just can’t in good faith choose anything but the PS2, even though I love a lot of the other consoles listed.

PS1, because my favorite game of all time (Xenogears) was released on that console, and I also consider the PS1 to be the pinnacle of experimental and unique games (although the PS2, GameCube, and Dreamcast are also very close to the PS1 when it comes to unique and experimental games)

I think I would take the PlayStation 4.

(thank God that's not my fat fingers)

50 years, and I still can't win a fuckin race!!!

Well, one of the rules is that you CAN'T play the other systems' libraries, even if the console was originally backwards compatible, to make it more fair. But the PS2 is probably still the most logical choice.
