I made this back on the game's anniversary

Din, the Oracle of Seasons (and the representation of the Triforce of Power.
Ganon almost always takes this Triforce in particular).
A energetic dancer from the lands of Holodrum.
A curious place with many stations (as the islands of one piece)... With an even more curious place and inhabitants: Subrosia.

Yes. Curious....Curious Indeed,,,,
*getting curious about the many stations of Din*

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.
The pass of the stations...
Yes. Seasons. Of Course.....

Isn't this one a 2-parter "the oracles of time and space" or something?
Some youtuber I follow was doing a playthrough of one. Collecting rings? pieces of rings? It all just seemed really overwhelming for a Zelda game, so I stopped watching early on in.

There's Oracle of Season and Oracle of Ages. You can still enjoy each games separately.

The rings are merely a side thing, you can decide to get them all but it needs time. Most of them are either cosmetics or not that useful (like the punch ring only allowing you to hit with your fists).

I'm sorry for the late. Surviving a blackout.
The Legend of Zelda - Oracle of Ages & Seasons, was originally a Zelda 1 remake for GameBoy Color (this is more remarkable in Seasons).
Originally, there would be 3 games (Oracle of Secrets, with Farore), however, due to programming troubles, the third one was never done.
It is presumed that Link, in this game, could go "re-painting" the land with the corresponding artifact (think about something similar to the artifact Bowser Jr. was carrying, in Super Mario Sunshine).

Like Ikagura said, the rings are secondary purpose, some of them are cosmetics, and some of them has different purpose, that can help Link in his adventures.
The best example for using, is the Red Ring (doubles Sword damage).
Depending if which game you are playing first, some events may differ in some parts.
And playing both, linking or using password from one to another, leads you to a special secret event.

My experience with anything Zelda has been this:
1-actually played Zelda 1 NES
2-actually played GB ZELDA 1 (the one about Wind Fish)- liked that one better
3-ppl say "Majora's Mask" is haunted
4-ppl say "Wind Walker" is greatest game ever, then only complain about some motercycle IDK

*goes back to scuffing in grass from delicious low-level IMP bodies*
