Nostalgic candy

LOTSA GOOD SHIT
I've actually had most of those thanks to import markets and living in Amsterdam for a bit, that's a good list. :D Kinder has become a thing in the USA now, but I dunno, it doesn't taste as good as it did in Europe? It's probably the exact same shit and I'm just being grumpy because food in the USA tasted like shit when I came back. x)
QUENTIN TARANTINO'S FAVORITE
Oh shit, that unlocked a memory. I loved that shit. As for why it was a foot, I don't know, maybe because being gross was the hip thing in the 80s/90s?
CHILDHOOD CANCER
Oh man, you guys had chocolate filled ones? The only ones I ever remember were basically just like a dusty stick of edible chalk. The only place I remember that sold them were ice cream trucks.

As for me, I've spent too much time on Google trying to remind myself of forgotten candy. x) I know the point of the topic is just candy you are nostalgic for, but I was trying to find stuff you can't find anymore. A search for "90s candy" just brings you to a bunch of candy sellers that are selling stuff that was sold in the 90s and still being produced. I WANT A DEEPER DIVE THAN THAT. LIKE THE FOOT CANDY. I did find a couple at least.

Reese's cups have always been my favorite candy and you can find them stuffed will all sorts of shit these days, but not the cookie cups. Those were the ultimate form of a Reese's cup as far as I'm concerned.

My mom would pack these (or Gushers) with my lunch all the time.

Basically a super inferior Kinder Egg. I don't have much nostalgia for the candy itself, but the fucking song from the commercials is burned into my mind.

Ahhh, this one I really loved. Thick liquidy candy was always my jam and this was a whole tube of it. The, uh, interestingly shaped tip with thick liquid pouring out probably explains why I'm not straight either. Oh boy.

I've never been a fan of gum, but for some reason when you half chop it up and half make it into dust it's really good.

Now this is a deep fuckin' pull. Another weird gum that I liked! I remember my friends liked it too and would call it "Chew Loogie" instead of it's real name. Eww.

Other than those, most everything I liked is still around. Butterfinger, Reese's, Twix, Kit Kat, etc. Candy tastes like shit nowadays though. I know nostalgia will always taint things, but Hershey bars did NOT taste like literal vomit when I was a kid. I got a Butterfinger for my boyfriend and I the other day and we both agreed those taste like shit now too. Everything is smaller and more cheaply made. Too sweet as well. European chocolate is miles better, even the cheap stuff.

Dishonorable mention goes to this shit. Not very good and a pain in the ass. You got a nice chunk of paper with the candy half the time too. I got it all the fucking time. Not by choice, but I guess they were just cheap. Makes sense, it's 60% paper. :V

Lmao that is a creative and flattering way to quote posts. Yeah, Kinder is quite huge here in Kuwait. There’s a lot of small little food places that serve “kinder-themed” desert dishes that do have the actual chocolate. It’s a nice novelty.

Awww, thank you. ? The Kinder themed dessert isn't something I would have ever expected. I'd love to try it though.

They go really well with stuff that you already expect sweet stuff on like pancakes, waffles, French toast. You can also order it as a milkshake too (there’s also hot drinks). It all depends on the cafe you visit. The smaller local cafes here get quite creative haha.

Literally different depending on where you buy them...

Haven't eaten sweets in ages, I have no self control, so I can't have them around me or I will absolutely stuff my gullet.

When I was thinking about nostalgic sweets, for some reason I remembered some candies you could only ever get at public swimming pools around here for whatever reason:

... Which brings me to a little question - why in hell were/are these things shaped like feet?
Bro, these candy were the shit back then! It's sad they don't sell them where I live.
As for why they're shaped like feet, I have no idea.

The candy I did not expect to make a comeback

At some point, I think I wanted the tubes more than the candy
