I've actually had most of those thanks to import markets and living in Amsterdam for a bit, that's a good list. Kinder has become a thing in the USA now, but I dunno, it doesn't taste as good as it did in Europe? It's probably the exact same shit and I'm just being grumpy because food in the USA tasted like shit when I came back. x)LOTSA GOOD SHIT
Oh shit, that unlocked a memory. I loved that shit. As for why it was a foot, I don't know, maybe because being gross was the hip thing in the 80s/90s?QUENTIN TARANTINO'S FAVORITE
Oh man, you guys had chocolate filled ones? The only ones I ever remember were basically just like a dusty stick of edible chalk. The only place I remember that sold them were ice cream trucks.CHILDHOOD CANCER
As for me, I've spent too much time on Google trying to remind myself of forgotten candy. x) I know the point of the topic is just candy you are nostalgic for, but I was trying to find stuff you can't find anymore. A search for "90s candy" just brings you to a bunch of candy sellers that are selling stuff that was sold in the 90s and still being produced. I WANT A DEEPER DIVE THAN THAT. LIKE THE FOOT CANDY. I did find a couple at least.
Other than those, most everything I liked is still around. Butterfinger, Reese's, Twix, Kit Kat, etc. Candy tastes like shit nowadays though. I know nostalgia will always taint things, but Hershey bars did NOT taste like literal vomit when I was a kid. I got a Butterfinger for my boyfriend and I the other day and we both agreed those taste like shit now too. Everything is smaller and more cheaply made. Too sweet as well. European chocolate is miles better, even the cheap stuff.
