Last time I used the word based I had a visit to my local FBI sector.
I don't wanna risk my account but on the Internet you have people considering that "race fetishization" is an awful thing to do (although it's fundamentally not so far from preferring blondes over brunette or even just preferring taller guys).
Also some pokémons are forever blacklisted from being your favourite online because people will look at you strangely even if you're being genuine...
I hate the Internet not keeping things quiet about nsfw content in sfw areas but I've already said it before.
Hahaha!I could say I like cashews and this thread will find 7 different ways that's morally reprehensible
'Based' sort of means being confident in being yourself, calling someone 'based' usually means that you respect their opinion or their confidence in having said opinion. The modern definition of the term originated with Lil B.Based is synonymous with "I agree" but as internet slang?
Hahaha!
They have a lot of calories! Do you wanna get fat?I could say I like cashews and this thread will find 7 different ways that's morally reprehensible
As I said back when I created my account; my depression will never be healed
While you're right about the original intent I think I'll avoid getting associated with people you don't usually wanna get associated with.'Based' sort of means being confident in being yourself, calling someone 'based' usually means that you respect their opinion or their confidence in having said opinion. The modern definition of the term originated with Lil B.
"According to Lil B, based was a negative term from his childhood that people would use to call others simple, stupid, or basic. It’s a shortening of basehead, which is a pejorative term used to refer to a person who freebases cocaine. Lil B has reclaimed “based” to have positive implications: “Based means being yourself. Not being scared of what people think about you. Not being afraid to do what you wanna do. Being positive.“
Some people generally frown upon it because it got popular through 4chan, but almost every single meme and meme format did, so it's unfair to blame the site for bad eggs. Similar to the meme frog. Most people see him as a sort of funny innocuous Twitch.tv mascot, not as a hate symbol.
It doesn't mean anything other than that though, in case you were curious. It hasn't been appropriated the way many think. While you're right about the original intent I think I'll avoid getting associated with people you don't usually wanna get associated with.
I always thought you were a millenial...I swear milliennials think 4chan is the devil lol
I used to be a regular there.I swear milliennials think 4chan is the devil lol
Now we're all adult dipshits instead.I used to be a regular there.
Then I grew up and stopped being a teenaged dipshit.
Good for you.Never been in 4chan.
I always thought you were a millenial...
It's always funny to see people refer to it as some sort of evil secret society, especially on the news, but it's become nothing more than a place where edgelord kids go to be edgelords because they think that's what you're supposed to be doing there, and the old farts sticking around are paranoid of everyone around them. Site's a complete lost cause.
This place has helped me detox from the site really well.
I'm one year older than you lolI am! Im 28
But like I said before millennials on the internet are really really moralistic for some reason
It's can still be but fun some but the new blood takes itself way too seriously, I miss when everyone was carefree

Ah ok!I'm one year older than you lol
Ah ok!
I'm 29, which always felt like a weird gray area between generations. Like I can sort of relate to both but feel sort out sidelined by both at the same time. Dunno if it's ever been similar for you but I have friends who have expressed similar sentiments.
Not that I care, though, just a neat observation I've had.
I'm 29 too.Ah ok!
