Nintendo has been awarded the money from the illegal US tariffs and looking to pocket the money. Nintendo responded to a class action lawsuit against them that they set a price and customers received exactly what they paid and bargained for, and asked the legal proceeding to be dismissed.

How do you feel about that?

I like how videogame companies all decided to just start inflicting massive Ls on themselves at the same time. It's like they decided they couldn't be competitive in terms of putting out good product and making customers happy so they're just competing to see who can self-destruct the fastest and be the most spiteful towards consumers.

Tell you the truth, after years of reading about their exploits, I'm not surprised by anything Nintendo does. They are a corporate entity that exists to increase their profits, grow larger, and crush/absorb/sue their competition into nonexistence. Their behavior since I became aware of them in the 1980's is entirely consistent with this image.

How are the tariffs illegal? And do you even know what a tariff is or are you just whining about Trump? I bet you gleefully accepted four years of inflation under Joe and only started whining once Trump got re-elected and you could pretend it was his fault. TDS is real.

It's just further proof that the time is now (frankly, the time has been now for a long time) to move on from modern gaming and be sated with what we already have. No one could reasonably play all of what exists as it stands, and funding these behemoth corporations is pretty much a moral failing at this point, just to play a lesser version of games you played before.
Yeah, that's pretty much my feelings. I'm growing increasingly apathetic. Gaming this gen has been, for gamers, pretty much a non-event. There's been very little to look foward to and be excited about.

Recently I got a Street Fighter IV DLC pack from the Xbox Store and Narita Boy for the Switch cashing out my digital currencies and I'm feeling filled up. Have no plans of buying anything else for the forseeable future.

Take a chill pill. The tariffs were struck down by the US Supreme Court. Although TDS might be real... 😂

It's okay. I'm not legally obligated to give Nintendo anymore of my money.

The reason people bring up Iwata and Reggie so much, despite Nintendo's anti-consumer practices, is because they at least tried to put their consoles and games in as many hands as they could. They understood that being available and affordable for the largest possible customer base meant they'd have customers for years to come. This current Nintendo doesn't care, nor will it ever. If they feign caring in the future, it's so they can recover dwindling profits from a backlash.

Any goodwill I had for them is dead. I'm glad I got to enjoy the Switch 1's era. It reminded me of what it used to be like back when I was a kid. Now Nintendo can die for all I care. I have other options.

Can we keep the political conversation to literally anywhere but here? You can talk about this stuff almost anywhere else on the internet, and in the real world. This is a place to talk about games.

o im done with modern consoles at the end of this year thats why i invested in a gaming PC i can set up standalone systems so ill have xbox live, dolphin, duckstation, PCSX2, PPSSPP, mGBA all on the 1 PC.

Same here, the OG Switch is the last gaming console I'll own. PC gets all the important games anyway.

I just want the entire industry to burn. That, or for asteroid named 99942 Apophis to NOT safely fly within 20,000 miles (32,000 km) of Earth's surface and instead strike Los Angeles, California dead-on.
