Nintendo Switch games that appear in an improved form on the Nintendo Switch 2 and the new games cost up to 80 US dollars or 90 euros in Europe . On the one hand it is understandable but on the other hand it demands a lot from the buyers . What do you think?

I can see nintendo fans will like it as it is an upgrade over the original.

But if your a PC gamer I think you get your graphical needs met on your PC.

As for the game price, I think it is a bad idea. It is ok if you know the game is going to be great, and rewarding. But to make it a standard is a bad idea.

There's also the fact that Nintendo doesn't really do sales.
The most they'll usually go down by during one of their "sales" is 10, maybe 20 percent, even for games that are already quite a few years old. So not only is that 80-90 bucks per game - the price will stay there for a long, long time. No matter what.

Even as a big fan of Nintendo's games, I'm not okay with that.

Got a wii, DSi, 2DSXL, N3DSXL, a SNES mini, RP5 (where GBA emu goes), as well as a PC for switch emu. They're all modded but I own some physicals as well.

I'm very much fine with not getting a switch 2. It's simply financially irresponsible, even for someone like me, despite being able to afford it. Supporting this kind of practice is ridiculous.

I remember when you could buy a brand new game for £30. (Once discs became common.)
Then I remember it going to £40... then £50... then £60... then people were saying "Oh, it's always been £60", and then it went to £70... and now it's going to £80 and £90.

And I've not even included the special editions that frequently go for over £100! And those only include the things that those big box £30 PC games used to come with standard!

And to top it all off, games make waaaaaaaaay more now than they ever did back then. And that's even WHEN you remove the increased cost of development from the profit they're making.

Inflation is a heck of a thing man.

Hi Dany, please check your instagram at your convenience :)

Hello why should I do that? I saw a message like that in my Instagram inbox earlier, but I have no idea who it was? Is that you?
Hi, yes it was. I don't use these forums so I decided to contact you there first - I'm sorry if it looked suspicious

over a hundred in Canada.::omgdoom

Imagine spend almost 100 in a game that you can beat in a day and has no replay value

Oh, wait. Now is normal!?
Imagine people spending hundreds and hundreds in a gacha game that will likely close sooner or later. Sounds way retarded, right? but it's real :)

Bring back the Nintendo Classics and it'll soften the blow. For us old enough to remember the 90s and 00s, $80 is just back to the normal. Remembering that it was 25 years ago makes me sick.... lol

That old yet you don't understand that your own parents' wages could back then deal with the occasional game for their kid? Or food prices for the matter? Come on.

$80 for Mario Kart World and charging $10 -- or anything, really -- for Nintendo Switch 2: Welcome Tour is just insulting. Nintendo Switch 2: Welcome Tour is literally a digital instruction manual. It's far more simplistic than Wii Sports or Nintendo Land. It should be a pack-in that introduces Switch 2 owners to the console and its features, not a paid download. Just ridiculous.

Also, as if the news hasn't been bad enough for Nintendo as of late, the Switch 2's $90 Joycons won't have hall effect sticks. So expect the stick drift problem once again, and that's a real problem when the controllers are $90.
