Game Description:
This is a game created for a tutorial of how to use the Amiga Game Creator RedPill. It's basically a simple Ninja Gaiden clone with graphics taken from various sources (graphics from NES, SNES, Genesis, MAME games and various websites) and music taken from modarchive.org (MOD as in the Amiga audio format, not game mods) SFX also sourced from MAME games as wellIt's a full completed game with multiple levels and bosses and is actually pretty good. It shows the kinda capabilities that RedPill can do, and how good it is for a retro project like this. If you're someone who wants to create your own retro games then maybe RedPill would be something worth looking into? Amiga is a great platform for these kinds of games at least.
The source page for this game can be found here: https://s0yamigamsx.wordpress.com/ninjyations/
To run this game you can simply load the zip file as Load Content in RetroArch using the PUAE core and it'll load automatically. Pick the second option from the CPU selection screen in it.
If you want to use WHDLoad for this I've included it too, but it doesn't run well in RetroArch once you set it up (the music in that one keeps cutting out for some reason)
Note from the source about the WHDLoad one:
If the WHDLoad version throws an error and does NOT work, you may need to remove the following options in the S:WHDLoad.prefs file:
ExecuteStartup=uae-configuration cpu_speed real cachesize 0 immediate_blits false blitter_cycle_exact true cycle_exact true gfx_center_horizontal none gfx_center_vertical none
ExecuteCleanup=uae-configuration cpu_speed max cachesize 8192 cycle_exact false cpu_speed max gfx_center_horizontal smart
