Forgot the name of the company, and I don't really care to go look, but the company NexusMods was sold to has a long history on teaching how to monetize websites. Right now NM offers payment tiers for uncapped d/l speed (which isn't that big a deal for free users). I expect nude mods and the like (like the weird-yet-funny Pregnant Eve mod for Stellar Blade) to be locked under a payment tier at some point.
Not that I really care at all, but I think if they hid nude mods behind a paywall, that'd be hilarious. It would also quite literally cause the biggest meltdown the site had ever seen. I'd doubt they'd ever do it, though.
You really haven't heard anything about how they've been running things there, huh? It's not good to erase internet history, but Nexus has been overtly corrupt - not mismanaged, corrupt - for years now, at least, and that's only from my knowledge as an outsider. Please look into their recent controversy before getting snarky.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm way too old to care about any of the controversies that are a result of egotripping mods or whatever. If any mod had a controversy surrounding its removal, the creator undoubtedly found a way to redistribute it. To be honest, I just realized I've been posting in this thread way too much. I'm gonna stop now since I'm not actually adding anything of value to the conversation and like you said, I started to sound snarky. Which wasn't my intention, by the way. More like banter. But tone is difficult to establish through text sometimes. But heyo, cheers for the conversation, all. I hope for all of us that the future of Nexus bodes well.
